Morgan Pressel Swing Sequence: A little Furyk in there?

I remember after Furyk beat Tiger in some match play thingy (maybe it was the US Open) that Tiger was talking about how Furyk hits the ball so consistently because his right elbow lags his right hip at impact and that "that's not something you can teach someone."

 

Fast forward to last month's GD swing sequence of Morgan Pressel:

It looks more like she is stuck in the pics. She is gonna hit a big hook if she catches it with her hands or it will go straight right. I have the same issue and have seen it a lot on tape.

There are 3 main positions the right elbow can be in during the swing:

 

1) pitch

2) punch

3) push

 

1) When the right elbow is IN FRONT of the hips. This is how 99% of how all tour players have their right elbow because they are swingers and usually physics to create their power (for the most part)

2) When the right eblow is ON THE SIDE of the hips. This is much lower percentage of golfers because this is the result of trying to keep the clubface 'square' and also using a lot of muscular thrust into the ball

3) Is used for short shots/putting/etc. This when when the right elbow moves like a piston in an engine or when you pull a lawnmower cord

 

The main thing is that you want that shaft going right up your right forearm at impact.

Shouldn't it be aligned with your left arm since your left arm is leaning toward the target and the right arm is leaning away?

Jim, Martin Hall is her teacher so you know she is getting the "right" stuff. I think it is just simply that particular sequence, I do not think Pressell gets stuck in her swing.

 

She has a really nice hitting motion, she just needs to add a few yards.
