Dad's B-day gift

His B-day was last month, but I couldn't get the order in early enough to have it delivered by his B-day. But the putter looks beautiful from the picture. Wish I could have gotten him a tour cammy to show my appreciation, but I don't have the luxury of purchasing a tour putter, so I purchased 1st/500 of SC SS Newport II, got it personalized and authenticated. Lime green headcover and grip as well. The putter is beinging delivered as I write this. Hope he likes it. :golfer:

ya I really hope he likes it. I was really looking for a tour cammy for him for a while, which I think he would REALLY be happy to have... but it was just too expensive... they would run more than $2000. not that he doesn't deserve such a putter (he is a scratch golfer and a great father), but I just couldn't afford it. So the next best thing was to purchase a limited set cammy :D and yes he's first name is Bong :cheesy: (cool) :golfer:

Nice. Look at those mill marks... Any reason why you decided no fill in the cavity, hosel, and face but fill on the sole? Just curious.

Well, I didn't decide on where the fill should be. The SC custom shop did. I guess it would have looked every better if they filled in all the engravings with lime green color? Maybe it brings out the lime green colors on the name better with none of the other's filled? I am not sure, but I am still happy that I can get my dad a decent gift to show my appreciation.

 

As for the name Bong, it might seem pretty funny today since it is 4/20

the putter came with no paintfill, the second year he released the stainless line is when he added the fill

Dad got the putter last Friday, put it in the bag on Saturday for a round... and he :golfer: the putter! He said, the putter is so true that he can putt just like how he imagined the ball would roll, break, and fall into the cup! :D He used to use varity of putters including Ping, couple different Odyssey putters, and some old putters that I can't even name and this is his first Scotty Cameron. I am a happy man (cool)
