My 695 MB/CB combo's came in today

I was talking to my pro 2 weeks ago and said I wished I could order a set of 3,4 & 5 CB's and the rest MB's. He went on their site and tried to order them and BAM here they are! My specs, cutom lofts, lies and lengths. Project X shafts and all in less than 2 weeks. I think it has been 12 days since they were ordered. Titleist has by far, surpassed my expectations and I for one will support their product from now on.

That is really a sweet deal on your pros part, he must have a long time Titleist contract or know someone high up. From what I have heard/experienced.

 

As a matter of interest, did you change the lofts on the 695.CBs to be more in line with the Blades?

Anyone with a Titleist account can go to their site and place this kind of order. The real question is how much money can you save on a set like this? With Project X shafts.

Guys when a pro orders clubs he has an account and each club has an individual cost, I think any pro/rep/dept store with a titleist account could put together a similar order for you.

the upcharge from Titleist on PX shafts is less than we can buy the shafts for and they come installed from the factory with the warranty

Good for you bud that you got the clubs you wanted. I was wrong. But I have to say however that on a personal note, that REALLY PISSES me off. As a long time Staffer and Custom Fitter, I have been very loyal. I have been HAMMERED all spring about this, and have been told time and time again that we WILL NOT SPLIT UP THIS SET. I have told countless customers the same and they've been upset that they will not do it. If your "Pro" did order two sets, please PM me and let me know (I won't tell), before I make an Word not allowed out of my self for ripping into someone. I would appreciate it.

He did not order two sets. This is how he said he did it. He went to their B2B site and did they custom order form for the 3, 4 and 5 seperately, then ordered the 6-pw as the rest of the set. They all have the same serial # and I got the spec sheets in the box as to their spec. Each of the CB's, were made as seperate clubs and the MB's were as a set because they came with the standard spec sheet.

thats just gorgeous. how do they play? do you like the shafts with these heads?

Well I've played and practiced a couple of times with them now so I can make a better comment on how they will play.

The PX's give them a slightly softer feel than the DG's did. They still feel very good with the DG's but I prefer the feel of the PX's. The ball flight with them is pretty much what you'd expect from the musclebacks with the traditonal lofts. I had the CB's bent 2* weak and I figured they would go a little high for my taste but they are spot on with their flight and very easily knocked down or worked either way. They are without question a very very solid set of bats and the quality from Titleist custom is great as well. I had them set up as far as lie goes a little different than Titleist spec I go from a 64* pw and 9 iron to 60* 5 iron, more of the older standard in lie. I don't need the heels digging in to work it and I've played this lie set up for 20+ years so it may be to late for me to change.

I would be glad to answer any specific questions now that I've hit them enough to make an intelligent response.
