V2 shaft question

are they targeting the wrong players

is the V2 for the stronger player/fast swing speed that bomb it 280 +?????


out of 80% of the posts i see about the shaft is that it plays like a bored and they hit it very low

i over herd one person say that the V2 75 stiff is as stiff as the Fujikura speeder 757 X??????

i also took the shaft selector on USTgolfshafts.com and they said i need V2 65 X or proforce gold 65 X which i believe is true

if people are having a hard time with the shaft maybe they shoulf play the 50 gram or 65 gram reg. or stiff

I had a v2 S in a j33 7wood and it was one of the weakest shafts ive ever felt.

Joe K put a 86g in my 3W, stiff flex tipped 2". I really like the shaft, and I find that if I really go after it, I'll hook it, but if I concentrate on a nice tempo and SS, a nice high draw. I swing the driver around 110 mph.

i have the v2-65gram stiff in my sasquatch and its perfect.

 

i've got a 100-105 swing speed, with an aggressive swing that i am working on making smooth. i'm typically a high ball hitter with the driver.

 

i tried the aldila nv-75 stiff in this same head and the v2 is a higher launching and higher spinning. the v2 feels a tad smoother than the aldila. i can really feel it load in the down swing and kick at impact, but not excessive. the aldila nv-75 stiff i didn't always get that. compared to the aldila nv-65, the v2 is still higher launching and slighgly higher spinning, but has a firmer feel.

 

i did compare a 905R with the speeder and 905R with the v2 and the v2 was smoother feeling, slighly higer launching and slighly more spin.

 

i also did a comparison with a callaway ft-3 optifit system in which i tried:

- graf. blue - very boardy feeling, low launch (too low), low spin - felt too stiff

- aldila nv-65 - good feeling, little lose, low launch (which i like), low spin - felt good, just a little loose

- aldila nvs-65 - very loose feeling, high launch, high spin - felt too loose and too whippy

- graf. prolaunch - stiff feeling, but not too stiff, high launch, mid spin - felt good but think the high launch could be a problem in the wind

- v2 65 - great feel, mid launch, mid spin - just the perfect combination of not feeling too stiff and not feeling like a board.

 

i will agree with you, its tough to get an opinion on this shaft. many people told me it would be too similar to my aldila to do any good, and others have said it plays weak. all i know is it works for me. if you can find a place with the callaway optifit system, try a shaft your familiar with to get a base point and then from there try the v2 to compare.

The V2 75 stiff in my 905R only measured 260 cpm, so its not that stiff. I've got a 65 V2 stiff in a Cobra and it plays slightly weaker.

i got the 75x in my driver and 3wood....but i feel they play on the weak side if anything..definetely not boardy...just a gr8 shaft!!

whats nice is they do state that the heavier they are the faster the temp should be.... but i wanted the higher launch so i went to the 55g. which is perfect for a smooth swinger .. similarly to the PL 65 stiff.

i love shafts in the 70 gram in my driver, nothing over that i was glad to hear its boardy or "stiff" because i have gotten stronger over winter break and got a be edge over distance

 

ust shaft selector told me i should get a V2 65 X or proforce gold 65 X when i saw that they picked the V2 that i felt was good for me felt like it will be a perfect match :golfer:
