Who has the best retail grind?

I'm starting to look at maybe a new wedge or two. My 588 RTGs are looking pretty ragged - but still do the trick. I would be interested in something with a little more heel relief in particular to really let me lay it open.

Something that is available in a factory 2* up lie would be nice too.

Thinking retail b/c I'm poor.

I welcome input from the gear knowledgeable here . . .

(alternatively, I suppose I could get the RTGs re-grooved and have their heels ground . . . )

I liek the DSG grind from Cleveland too but hate chrome wedges. (Hence my RTGs). A DSG in an RTG finish would be something schweet.

Ping offers some good custom grinds. Not sure if they're retail though.

I just picked up a Xtour 60* MD grooves and it has a really great grind on the sole that lets you lay it open, play a tight lie, or hit out of a bunker. I am loving mine and if you like the headshape there is no reason not to try it.

Ping Tour low bounce. It's a retail T grind. Awesome form any lie.

Check out the solus wedges. Its an outstanding wedge.

For the budget conscious, I like the old Cleveland 900 grind (very similar to the current CG10s), especially the low bounce.

You have to try the Scratch wedges. I have the TNC grind on a custom 52* wedge I picked up a while back from Ari and an M grind 59* lob wedge. I am excited to see Scratch offering a variety of grinds at a low price point. Whatever grind works best for you, the advantage of a wedge with some form of a ground sole vs. a retail wedge is huge IMO. Plus, the Scratch wedges are VERY soft. I think a 56* TNC is in my future . . .
