Is the "other site" done for good? (Merged)

Of course, we don't know if they have "failed" or not yet. This thread was started in an effort
to find out if BSG will be off the internet for good. This definitely has not been determined.

I did hear from one of the moderators that I got along with well and he said it is a server issue
and that BSG is going to be back shortly. Plus, this sentiment is being repeated by the powers
that be here at WRX, as stated in the below post by easyyy.

I unfortunately believe that when BSG recovers from their server issue and have their new website and store it may exist online but things will never be the same. I had a link last year to their supposed store that was one of the big things coming I posted the link and it was quickly removed.

I also believe many of the traffic they get will not be of the positive sort, rather to either stir the pot or see out of humor what Todd has to say. As closely as BSG was policed before I can see it being even tighter now as this outage has caused infinite more damage than good.

I would compare this outage to the episode of the Simpsons when Homer takes out the TV stations satellite and at first everyone is lost without it. Then slowly everyone moves on, yes tv makes a recovery but will BSG...

10+ days with no site, and that's their banner? For a "High-Tech, Big Things Are Coming, Wait Till You See This" kinda website, that's the best that they could do...after being dark for 2 weeks? Seriously.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys. Keep selling those car parts and R7 Taper heads for rock bottom prices on eBay and 6speed, Todd...you've finally landed exactly where you belong. It is incredibly gratifying to watch you crash and burn, you lying POS.

"This is a business" is what killed that site and is the reason this site is still successful. Not everything is about the almighty dollar. Todd had a license to print money with his audience until he got greedy.

For those who can't read between the lines: "we borked the site because we don't care about the forums. We just want your money."

I saw the message from BSG last night (the screen shot) and thought just as someone else has put up, eh...well that's good but all the "shine" that was left is for sure off it now.

I just want to say how I think regardless of what happens to them, Gx has handled this issue w/ class and with tact, making golfwrx look all the better for it. IMO, it doesn't matter what happens to the other site, golfwrx has shown it's staying power and openness.
