Why is my swing CHUNK-TAC-ULAR?!?!

need some help ASAP!

First off, I recognize that it is only a few weeks into the season, and a lot of rust is coming off. I notice that things are getting better, but as of right now, my game is in the tank. For some reason, I seem to be taking a beaver belt every time I take an iron shot and I'm having trouble finishing me follow through. Last season I have Titleist 690.CB and I now have '04 RAC TP's. The TP's are much lighter, so I'm wondering if this might be causing me to take a steeper swing. The Titleists were a little heavier and helped me get through the ball. Does this make sense to anyone else? This is the only thing that I can think of. When I hit the TP's nicely, it feels wonderful, but often times I get chunky. Also, I lost 45 lbs over the winter, could that have something to do with it? I've read that some people struggle when they lose weight because their swing is very different than what they are used to.

PS - if i was to get the irons weighted, would you suggest lead powder or tip plugs? I would think that the lead powder may change the swing characterists.

Check that your transfering your weight through the shot. Sounds like your lower body isn't driving the swing. Could be that you need some time in the new body, too. Relax, there is a lot of golf left. HTH
