Paintfill and Wedge faces

Ok question number one, I saw some forums about paintfilling, and I really want to do it, but i want to be completley sure that it is going to work and not look like a mess. Nail polish whatever I want done? and then just rub it away? That easy?

Number 2, I want to spin the ball a ton more with my wedges, does sandpapering the faces increase or decrease spin? I feel stupid on this one. Thanks for your help!

Can't give you the specifics for your first question, but I can help a little with the second.

 

You can sand paper your face, heck, you can weld nails if you want (both are illegal according the USGA). However, if you don't hit the ball with a descending blow, you will NEVER be able to spin it.

 

Angle of attack is the major force in creating spin, not grooves (although they help), or milling marks. You can give Tiger a flat wedge with no grooves, a tight lie, and he's still going to be able to back the ball up.

 

You have some nice wedges. Don't waste your time sandpapering the face, get a pro to take a look at your swing or post a video in the golf academy forum.
