Reducing Irons Head Weight?

Recently received a set of Lehman Box Toes and need some help. Dropped in TX1s, cut them to standard (38 inch 5-iron) and most clubs swing out at D-4 to my liking. Most, that is. The 5 and 9 swing out at D-6+ and I don't want to reduce length, change grips nor apply lead tape at butt end.

What do the professional club masters do? Is there a way to dig/drill more material out of the hosel? If so, bit recommended? Need to get these two non-conformists back in line. Any thoughts appreciated. Thks.

MOst Lehman box toe has a weight port already.

Check if the bottom of the hosel is fill up or not, If it does fill up...then you can dig or drill to get some weight out.

However if it doesn't fill up, you don't have that much room to adjust other than grinding the head.

However from my experiences, if you are building it at 38" 5 iron w/ 1/2" increment...most likely you should have room to adjust. I don't see any problem to achieve D4. I never seen any head at standard lenght have a problem to get D4 sw, unless the head is an old 37.5" set up for 5 iron. ( ex: titleist tour model )
