release date?

does anyone know when the release date of the cobra blades? the one that everybody on the pga tour is playing?

the cobra rep at a demo day said maybe next year???? they said even tho cobra is based on the higher handicap they mite put a line for the lower handi next year

 

i dont think it would take money away from titleist really but all the money goes to the same place anyways ...just my opinion

spoke with my rep today, said he was going to orlando tomorrow for some meetings, and would probably hear whether they were planning on releasing them this week

I'm a pro down here in Orlando, I saw our rep this week, and he also told me that they had some sort of meeting regarding new product this week. He said its possible that we might see these irons sooner than we think because there is such a demand for them to put out a "Players" product. He said that it is due in part to the strong Tour presence that they have put forth this year.

Any word on what the current Cobra blades are like, small heads, offset, bounce ??? and what the proposed retail ones will be like ??

 

Will Cobra do special order custom grinds, will the heads still be sourced from MacGregor ?

they are still tour only....... and they dont know if they will even hit retail.... but we will see

Less than a handful of the "Australian" muscle back tour irons have ever been made. The only thing they did with MacGregor was buy the use of the design/dies to produce these (they were scheduled to be the next offering from macgregor after the v-foil 1025MBs. Unfortunately Mac lost their minds and went the 675 and 685 direction. Endo is the forging house not MacGregor. What they will most likely hear about at the sales meeting is the new drivers that will replace the disappointing speed series. The irons are far down the list---think sister Titleist if you want a traditional blade. The CBs are in bigger usage than the muscle back blades.

The Cobra blades look incredible. I am really hoping they decide to put these out to the public. I doubt it, but I really hope they would..... GREAT looking sticks.
