winn grips make clubs feel head heavy

just put some winn rf grips on my clubs and my irons and wedges feel really head heavy now anyone know why that is?? Dont think these grips are that much lighter than the golf pride grips i had on them before do they??

I think winn grips are much softer than other rubber grips therefore you're holding the club much lighter with less tension in your arms and fingers.

Lighter grip pressure can make you feel the club head much better, hence heavier feeling.

Winn grips weigh less than other normal rubber so it increases swingweight to solve this try some lead tape underneath the grip.

I've played and worn out several sets of Winn RF's and I agree with elnino82's assessment, in addition the RF's weigh around 40 grams while GP tour velvets are around 50 G's. If the weight sensation is bothering you but you like the softer Winn feel you could try the new G8 AVS XF, it's heavier at 50 G's but still very soft feeling. I put the G8 AVS XF's on my woods about a month ago and I really like them, I can't comment yet on the wear though - as much as I liked the classic RF it was annoying how fast they needed replacement.

ok thanks guys i may just take the medallions out of the x tours but it really doesnt bother me just wondering if anyone else have noticed.

THe medalion has a weight adjustment plate.

You better think it over before you make that move.

yeah thanks the heads were all over the map with the medallions out but i added lead to the ones that felt too light and now they all feel the same which was a pleasant suprise as they didnt feel this good factory
