Titleist 695CB or Mizuno MP60

Which set should I get

I'm currently using the Mizuno MP30 with PX 5.5 shafts and I'm looking to change to a new set of irons. Can't decide between the MP60s or 695cm. Both look great and I can't decide between the two.
Which set is would be more forgiving assuming in the same shaft.

to be honest i think they will both play very similar. i know from experience that the Mizuno MP-60's are very very good. like i said though, both models are their respective companies top level 'players cavity' irons.

bottom line, try them both out on grass.

I would go for the MP 60's. Thats what I have and I can not say one bad thing about them. They are really forgiving but when you do make a bad swing it lets you know. They are easy to work the ball with too. I love the look of them more then any irons out there. They set up beauty.

I preferred the feel of the MP60s. I also thought the MP60s were every bit as forgiving, if not more. Both are good clubs, however.

I think the Mizuno grain flow forged feel has no equal. While the 690 Series Titleist are nice, the MP-60's feel great,very soft, and a bit forgiving. I love the thin top line look to them. Hit 'em both at a Demo Day and see which one feels right for you.

I just hit both clubs at a recent demo day and say it's no contest -- the MP-60s are far superior. The 695 are almost painful -- even on good swings. But that's just me, your mileage may vary.

Sorry to hear that the MP30's arent working. Are you looking at selling them or having a second set? I may be interested.

Afted warming up before going I spent three + hours at golfsmith yesterday on their new computer system. Checked spin rates, launch angles, and flight path. I hit the titleist, mizuno, calaway x tours and hogan apex irons. The nickent and taylormade (2) hybrids.

Results; for me a new set of mizuno mp 60's are on their way along with a taylormade dual rescue #2.

I have played titleist dci 962 since 97 and was ready to get the newest upgrades. I was somewhat suprised at my switching from titleist.

For me the feel, inpact tape and the numbers all matched. I can not wait to post a score. Best of luck in your search. You realy should go to get fitted and find what is best for you.

I would go with the Mizunos just from the standpoint that they are Mizuno forgings and not Endo forgings which can't match Mizuno or Miura for softness. The only endo forging that feels somewhat soft is the 735.CM and the X-Tours (which is really a forged game improvement club and hides the harshness of endo forgings with a thin welded face). They start with the same metals basically but the pretreatment that Mizuno and Miura use (like Hoffman used to) is what makes the difference.

Thanks for all your input. I was leaning towards the MP60 too but was impressed with the look of the titleist 695cb. I actually tried them out yesterday and it does feel harsher. I will mostly go with the MP60. Thinking of getting them in Nippon 1150 shafts. Anyone knows who I can order direct from?

I baught my irons through discount dan's, The store is a sponsor here and very popular on this site. I highly recommend going through them because there prices can't be beat and customer service is really really helpful, Dan is a great guy.

Mizuno doesn't offer them in the 1150s....I think you will have to special order them from someone - then they will have to pull the shafts and replace with the 1150s. I wanted the 1150s as well, but was told that's what would have to be done....too expensive for me to do it that way. I ended up getting a great deal with Project X's....hopefully will get them this week.
