Tee Preference?

I have been using zero tees so far this season and they work great.

I usually break a lot of tees, and I might have gone through 4 or 5 in 15 rounds so far...

Zero Friction user here. I've been on the same tee the past 72 holes. I love em for that reason alone.

I just started using the Zero Friction tees this season, only 2 rounds played so far, no tees broken. you guys were right, the Zeros are indestructable.

I use traditional, 2/34 in. tees, in almost any color. I usually prefer red or white, but I don't like using just plain brown wooden tees. I like to look at the bottom of my driver and see the huge streak across the bottom of it from the tee's paint haha.

I use regular tees, no particular color. I'm thinking of trying out the brush tees, to try and avoid the paint streak on the bottom of my driver. Anyone have an opinion about the brush tees? And can you post some more info on the zero friction tees?

natural or white wooden tees. 3-1/4" for driver and 2-1/8" for irons, woods and hybrid.

I use the longer white wooden tees for everything, and for par 3s and tee shots with a 3 wood, hybrid, or long iron I try to use a broken tee.

I was using the Epoch tees before I switched to teh Zero. They are very similar, but the main difference is that the Zero is much more durable. Check store around....I am in Cambridge Ont, and they sell them in the golf store that I work at (Cambridge Golf and Fashions - Formerly Dimarco Golf)

 

I know that they are available in Canada....just keep looking I am sure that you will find them somewhere.

 

When in doubt check Ebay.

Have being using the epoch plastic tee's, but break 1 or more every 18 holes. I am getting zero friction tee's next time.

 

Epoch tee's are about 5$ for 15.

They are definetly a little more pricy. Get 50 zeros for 15 Epoch for the same price.

 

I found that epochs were also a little more flexible. I had a tough time teeing up the ball when the ground was baked/hard.

epoch tees as of now..prob going to go to zero soon for the same reason..epoch break too often and cost way more

I bought 2x50 packs of Zero Friction Tees from GolfSmith this season. So far I've played 6 or so rounds and used the same tee on all rounds and it shows no wear except it's a bit less white.

 

These tees seem indestructible and are going to last me a looooong time... :golfer:

I hear nothing but good about the zero friction, but sadly have what seems to be an endless supply of the epochs. Epochs don't have too big a problem w/ breakage in warmer weather, but up till now it ain't been all that warm. I still have some stinger tees in my bag--they may not be the best choice for tee, but nothing cleans grooves better. :golfer:

I use a long tee for driving and usually try to find a broken tee for par 3's. I pick up tee's when i find them, but i usually buy the jumbo bag from Golfsmith.

when im hittin tee shots with my woods i use that one plastic tee with the 3 prongs, i have no clue what its called, my buddy buys like a 50 pack and just gives me a handfull.

but for like irons and stuff I always use the white wooden short tees. . and yea

I have been using zero friction tees ever since Christmas. I broke the first one this weekend hitting and Iron it broke in half. I play at least once a week and soem times more so they get some use. I don't think I have lost one either. They do not fly far so they are easy to find. I have given a lot of them away. You can not find them here in South Afica I wish I had brought more back over here the people love them but can not get them or the Epoc here.

When you break the occasional Zero Friction tee is it at the top of the tee or mid tee? I'm guessing breaking them at the top is due to impact and mid-tee due to hard ground conditions????

Go with the ZF tees versus the Epoch. I play the the Epoch and like the other stated, it's a little tough to get the tee in the hard ground, plus the price of the tees. When I hit I'm worried more about where my epoch went versus where my ball went (ProV or B330)... Sad isn't it? :)

 

Users of the ZF, do you use them when hitting an iron shot?

The only one I broke was at mid tee. How that happened I have no idea. I was using a five iron on a par three and the tee sunk all the way in the ground with just for the ball to be at the top of the grass. Normally the tee stays in the ground when i hit it will a iron but I pulled that one out and it was broke in the middle. I still have not figured out how it happened.

I use white tees. I like that it leaves a mark on the driver face and soul. It lets me know if something is wrong with my swing.

 

My friend uses those Zero Friction things. I broke one on my first swing, one of the three prongs broke. I figured it wasn't worth the extra cost.

im all about the flourescent pink standard length tees....i might break then but I never lose them

Zero friction tees here. Bought a 50 pack last July, and counted out 38 of them this past weekend. The only reason I only have 38 is that I've away about 5-10 of them to playing partners. I can't remember ever breaking one.

 

I still keep some regular short wooden tees for par 3's, but everything else is a ZF. :)
