Re: AP2 710 vs old AP2 .... Has the "sweetspot" been adjusted slightly closer to the hosel in the new irons?

Re: AP2 710 vs old AP2 .... Has backspin changed from old to new, all things being equal?

If a buyer purchases a set of AP2 710, but decides to go with a different shaft, in specific a lighter weight steel shaft, how does Titleist ensure to remain at a constant swingweight of D2?

For example, going with NS PRO 105T or Project X 5.0 or Dynamic Gold HL, these are all listed as available and weigh 10-15 grams lighter than the standard Dynamic Gold.

Do you use different heads?

Do not want to buy a $1000 dollar set of clubs and they show up D0 or C9.

With the ZBs and 695 MBs there was an obvious attempt to move mass around for positioning the COG. This resulted in a pretty nontraditional looking muscle back. With the 710 MBs going back to a much more traditional look, is there something going on with the weighting that we can't see? Is there a taper from heel (thinner) to toe (thicker) that isn't redily apparent in the pictures? A little tungsten somewhere in the forging perhaps? Has the COG moved much from where it was with the ZBs and 695 MBs? Personally I much prefer the look of the 710 MBs, just curious if there's been much done to keep them as user friendly as the last generation of Titleist blades.

Thanks for taking the time to answer our questions.

+1.

What can you tell us about the COG differences between say the 695CB and the 710 CB? I love the look of the 710 CB but hit my irons pretty high. With the slightly weaker lofts of the 710 CB relative to the 695CB I'm a little worried about sky-high iron shots. Thanks!

Another question if it's not too late. Can you compare the blade length of the 710 CB to the 695CB? I have read in a couple of places that the 710 CB head is "compact." I'm just wondering how compact it is relative to the 695CB, since as a LH golfer, I won't likely be able to demo the 710 CB before buying. Thanks!

First Thank you for taking the time to Host this webinar. I appreciate it and I'm sure the other GolfWRX members do also.

My Question is about the new 710cb's The 695cb's had lofts that were stronger by 2* over the 695mb's. Was the decision to weaken the lofts by 1* based on a high number of customer custom orders or due to the new groves having presumed less stopping power.

Thanks,

Jorge

It's sad to see the 2iron being missing from the MB offering :(

Thanks to Chris and Dan at Titleist, Ryan, and Golfwrx. Very informative. Interesting about the sole design and leading edge where "tweaking" 1°. Thanks for putting up with my hitting the enter key on my question, which was answered... Learned the MB is more a "picker" club, whereas my beloved 660's are more of a diggers club as the sole is wider, etc. I'm a picker, so I'm looking forward to getting these soon. Placed my order at the beginning of October.
