weird results

I hit off a vector today and i had a consistant launch of 18* no matter how high the tee, what driver ect. My spin rate was around 4500 aswell. the man at the place was like you have the lowest hitting shaft (speeder 757) and idk what to do. I told him it wasnt the lowest hitting and he was like i do this for a living and dnt tell me what hits lower. So i left and they did not make me pay because they couldnt recommend anything. Then i went to another place and he was like your shaft is the lowest hitting i dont know why you hit it so high. Your launch is high. This guy said i should have about a 1300 spin rate i was like thats to low it wont work. I was at the exact same numbers there though. My swing speed was clocked on a swing speed measure at 122 on a normal swing. the launch monitors also said it was carrying about 295. So whats up? is it just me and no club/shaft will help me or are they wrong and i should try something else. I play a speeder 757 in a r510tp.

Yah, it makes you wonder if any of these shop owners ever hit the shaft they apparently know so much about. LOL

They do any impact tape? You might be hitting a bit high off the center mark. An upswing center face should not get you over 4000rpm unless the shaft is getting overpowered and adding mucho loft at impact.

#1, I'd get your driver loft checked...sometimes they can be quite off though my experience with TP's are that they are fairly tight to spec.

You don't mention the flex of your 757...the stiffs in the 510tp don't play particularly stiff....you'd be an easy X in that shaft.

Stiffer tip shafts include Vista Tour 70 (and it's low torque brother VTLT), Accuflex Evolution (mad mucho stiff tip)...even NV has a stiffer tip than 757.

i was like i know the vista tour has a stiffer tip and they were like no way are you crazy. I felt like smacking them. lol i should have been like go on golfwrx and check it out. I have a stiff in my driver cuz about 8 months ago it fit perfectly, but no i am 3 inches taller and much stronger and ive raised my ss about 15 mph.

Yea i was hitting it just above the center of the face, and i had my driver loft checked.

A lot of time is the fault of combination "set up and operator".

Example: if the set up of te machine a 1/4" Lower than it's a suppose to be, the monitor will read lower traj.

So basically, setting it up perfectly is very critical to get a good reading and operator knowledge is equally as important to, not only operating the machine but also the shafts charracter.

I'm assuming you were at a Big Box store?? What he probably meant by you having the lowest hitting shaft was the lowest hitting shaft he had. Well whatever. If you want to get that spin and the launch down, you need to go heavier. The tip stiffness will only do so much. If you're that into Fuji's, look into the Pro95 or maybe a 105 NV that will get both down. He was somewhat correct in saying that your spin rate should be around 1300 (not that low). If your SS really is 122 and you have a launch of 18, then he is right it lower than normal. If you received a carry distance of 295, you would be losing 20 yds carry easy because your spin rate is way to high.

I know why you hit it too high, I see this all the time in young kids (I'm assuming you are based on the tone of your post). They drop the club way to far to the inside, and sort of hit up into the ball with a bit of a flip move, causing high lauch and spin. No shaft in the world will help you fix that. If you really have a SS of 122 you should be taking lessons to fix that because you have a gift. At that speed, that would translate into a ball speed of 183 and your launch angle should be around 16 with a spin rate of 1800-2000.

i used to drop from inside i dont anymore. The only thing is i cant afford a different shaft rite now except a x100. should i put a x100 in i have a stiff fujikura 757 and its really whippy for my swing
