I notice in the bag checks from the Masters and Bellsouth tournaments that Phil used the HX tour ball and not the HX tour 56 he was using last season. Does anyone know the accuracy of this? Has he switched back to the older model?

i saw this too. and i was wondering why when the 56 has more spin? but i think callaway made the New HX Tour more spin friendly. The New HX Tour now has the 6 deeper dimples too. Anyone have solid facts on this?

Could the MD grooves on his wedges have anything to do with going back to the less spin friendly tour ball ?? Seems like the timing stacks up ? New Grooves and harder ball

I agree. I don't see the logic of Callaway dropping the HX Tour 56. He probably switched to a less spinning ball like the 1x he use to play.
