ok so im not the best golfer in the world, decent but not spectacular lol. Play to a 12 handicap.
hit my driver a lot lower than i like(currently getting higher by the day tho) launch my fairway woods high, and my irons too(sig says it all u can see what they are there). Id like to hit my irons a little lower but without loss of distance. Ive had my hogans with me for about two years and theyve taken me from a 35 to a 12 so yea. Anyhow, hogan isnt really going anywhere with callaway at the helm, and ive been demoing some of these new titleist irons into a launch monitor. My swing speed equates to a stiff shaft, and i play a soft draw, not a very steep swing but probably closer to hitting down on the ball then sweeping it. I think im ready for more workability than my hogans, and can handle less forgiveness as a result. I was wondering if all you titleist guys out there could recommend or compare either of these irons for me. If you want more info just post it in the thread. thanks in advance.

Have you looked at the 735.cm's much? I think these would probably suit your game a little bit better. I know you think you hit the ball too high, but unless the ball flight is ballooning or you play in a lot of windy conditions, you're probably better off with that higher ballflight. I currently play the 695mb's and they are a very solid set of irons. I'm not sure these would really work out for you though. I have yet to hit the cb's, but I have heard they are very demanding irons, and meant for the stronger player, who is mainly looking to bring down the flight.

What kind of a 12 hdcp player are you? Do you 3 putt much? Is your home course tight or fairly wide open? Trying to find out where your strokes are lost will help your decision. There are good ball striking 10 hdcp players who just have no short game, but can still play blades. There are also low single digit handicappers that aren't overly consistent with their ball striking, so a more forgiving club is what they need.

But again, back to the original question, neither of those two are probably your best bet, but either the 735's or possibly the older 704's might fit your game a little better.

ball striking has been so far from an issue lately, have yet to shoot above my handicap, well ok once. Ive been losing strokes with my draw overpowering me on occasion(possible a lot of offset in hogans problem) and being way long recent have honestly gained 15 yards in the past month,. Rarely 3 putt, once every couple rounds i guess

Hi, I have done a lot of testing and i bought the 695cb, and I would say that would be the best choice for you too.

I am an 8 handicap, and I spent a day with the 695mb, 695cb, and mizuno mp60, all with s300.

The mp 60 feels soft on every shot, it always feels like you pure it evem shots on the toe, plus the ball flies really high.

the 695mb was nice too, and I almost bought it, but the 695cb had a very solid feel at impact. The cavity on the 695cb makes it very forgiving, but if you don't hit the center your hands will know it. even mis shots fly good, they just don't have the super nice feel.

I have played dci 990's for 6 years, and have not changed until now. the 695cb's are much more forgiving than the 990's were.

Oh yea, i thought that the 46 degree wedge with the cb's was going to make me add a 50 degree to my wedges, so I bought a cleveland cg10 50 degree, but guess what, the pitching wedge at 46 goes just the same distance as the 50 degree cleveland, only the pitching wedge is much easier to hit, and still just as workable. so I tosed the 50 degree out and put it in my wifes bag.

Thanks, Scott
