These are looking good. I like the name of the gooves. Yo-Yo grooves!

 

Features and Benefits:

 

Forged 8620-carbon steel produces a soft feel with less vibration. Brushed Satin finish lessens glare, traditional design, nice multi-Grind Sole. Medium bounce and narrow sole w/ trailing leading edge and heel grind allows the leading edge to be flush with turf minimizing thin shots while also maximizing trapping ability.

 

We cant see the faces that well in these shots but the faces are milled and you can see the milling marks. Sonartec says the “Yo-Yo Grooves" give maximum spin for tour performance. they say the constant radius transition of mass helps position more muscle mass behind the ball and gives a more solid feel at impact, all resulting in accuracy & control.

Those look very good! I love that OEM's are releasing tour grinds in retail wedges, it's great. Hopefully Sonartec will have these at the demo day that is coming in May. Any news on future releases of different lofts than the standard 52, 56, 60? That would be awesome if they came out with the 50º, 54º, and 58º lofts, if not they can always be bent! Thanks for the pictures, I have seen some real life photos, but thanks for sharing the specs in full :)

 

Besides the loft clarification, any news on release, and retail price-point?

Absoluely gorgeous. I have just bought some new wedges, RAC TP 56-12 and Mizuno Raw Haze but these look miles better. Still unlikely to hit Britain 'til about 2008! If the FWs are anything to go by these will be superb clubs.

Also check out the new Teardrop Japan wedges. Imagine Zodia but with better balance. I always thought Zodias were too head heavy.

Forged 8620 shades of the old TA-1s and TA-3s. Otherwise known as formed (faux) forged. :) I suppose that these will be a similar process since 8620 doesn't fare well with repeated "hammer" forging. Basic casting smacked a couple of times.

Forged 8620 is the TA2's and Wilson had some forged irons made of the same. Either way, I played a forged wedge for a couple of months and other than that it has been Vokey and Cleveland 588's (which are 8620 Carbon Steel). Both are advertized as cast.

 

The most important things to me is looks and the shape of the soles. I like the grooves to be a big at possible without sheading every ball I hit. Forged or cast hasent been a factor to me.

Looks like only 52, 56 & 60. I grabbed a 58* proto with Nippon NS Pro 1150 for a a great price. Review to come shortly. Only difference is it says T15 instead of T35. Hopefully they'll offer more lofts in the future.

Easyyy, or anyone for that matter, do you know if these wedges are going to come out in the 54/58 degree lofts? I know there have been pictures of the 58 and news of a 54, but the website aswell as the initial post only indicates that the only lofts are the 52/8, 56/11, and 60/8.
