COR Rating

Just want to compare

Are there any sites that compare COR ratings between different drivers? I'm looking for a new driver it'll likely be 8.5*. But just for curiousity I wanted to compare my 10.5* 460SZ and 9.5* R540XD.

Do you mean COR, or COG.

 

COR, or Center of Reconstitution, should be the same for all modern drivers and is restricted by the USGA to .830. Overseas, where we are ruled by the R&A it is .860.

 

COG, or Center of Gravity, will be different. I don't know of any place that measures it, but theoretically the lower and further away from the face, the easier it is to hit. Hence the Nike SQ, HiBore and TM R7 series.

 

So there would be no difference in COR between different lofts, but the COG is usually lowest in the highest lofted driver.
