Can you recommend a traditional blade putter that:

 

Gives good feedback on mishits?

 

When you hit it does it give a nice click ?

 

Looking for a blade putter that does both?

 

Is > 320 weight?

 

Does the Yes Sophia qualify? Any other recommendations?

For the price, the Arnold Palmer original is a great blade putter. You should be able to find on under $100.

Never hit the YES putter. All blade putters give you good feedback on mishits. You'll know it when you mishit it. There is no difference in forgiveness unless there is a cavity or some kind of perimeter weighting, which there is none of in the traditional blade putters.

8802 is my trusty blade.... i go to it when i get bogged down with aiming and stroke faults...... sorts me out every time!!

Yes Sophia definitely qualifies. Weight is around 340 g.

Find a Scotty Cameron Laguna 2.5 Studio Stainless on ebay. They retail right at $175, this is the best putter I have ever played. My mishits aren't as bad as a mishit with my old Odessey. This has superb feel and it's at 340 grams.

If you want to spend a lot of money, you could always get a Cameron Napa.

 

I still have an old Wilson 8813 (same as 8802, except that the 8813 has sight lines), but I haven't played it in years. You should look at a Ping G2 Tess. You can get one of those cheap these days (don't get the G5 Tess--way too much junk on the head for a blade putter).

Give the Ping Tess (G2) a look. If is heavy and has a good look and feel. The cavity also gives some forgiveness. The Cleveland Designed By is a solid putter as well; however, I had to add some lead tape to mine.

I've got a mid 70's Auchsnet bulls eye that does the trick when the baby bee bettinardi needs a break.
