UST V2 Hybrid

Recommended Posts

post-11-1141931493.jpg

Overall the Tour models play softer, with a higher ball flight as compared to the Tour IROD Hybrids. Two models in 90- and 105-grams.

90 gram model

Torque: 2.3

Tip Stiffness: 38

I hit this in a hibore and loved it. So if i like the v2 in a driver will i like this shaft in my hybrid?

I don't know if you will but I fricking love it! I've got the V2 in my HiBORE and love it. Now I know it won't fit everyone but from everyone I've talked to so far, the V2 and HiBORE are a perfect combination.

I've always been a fan of UST shafts so I had the iRod in my hybrids and have always liked that shaft a lot. I still think that for the price it's hard to beat but...

Yesterday I installed a V2 Hybrid in my Sonartec MD and after playing with it today and yesterday I think it's a phenominal combination there as well. Having the tip just a little bit softer helps me feel the clubhead more and the kick is producing a great flight for me. This hybrid shaft will stay in my hybrids for a long time!

I just purchased this shaft and had it installed in my 22* Taylormade rescue dual, the stock shaft was smooth but distance just wasn't there (210 carry with five yard role, swinging hard). Now, with the V2 hybrid the feel is alot better, not to mention the increased shaft weight gives a better feel for the clubhead. As for yardage on course yesterday i had an approach of 225yds, pulled the 22* hit a nice high shot from center stance to within 9 feet and the ball just dribbled out to a 6 foot tap in. So, yes i do love this shaft and will place it in my 18* slingshot as well.

I purchased a Bang 6h 27 degree head with a UST Proforce V2 regular flex to replace my 5 iron. Needed something I can hit about 170-175 and this club is perfect. Also used the Golf Pride DD2 grip which feels great and looks even better with the black and yellow shaft since the grip is yellow and black.

This is a smooth well balance club, reasonably forgiving, and solid.

I have the orginal UST Proforce 65 in my driver and have not found a shaft I like better.

If you have not tried a UST Profoce shaft you should test them out.

I have the 100-S in my Adams Idea Pro 18° and it was the best golf decision I've made in long time outside of purchasing the Idea Pro itself.

Great ball flight and fits my swing to a tee.

I have this shaft in all of my hybrids, 14* Nicket, 17* Nicket and 3i hybrid Bridgstone Air Muscle and I like it. Couple of things to note b/c the V2 is a tip stiff shaft. If you are a swinger, go down one flex and the bad thing about this shaft is, you can't be bashful with the swing; and the good thing about this shaft is, you can't be bashful with your swing. It seems people either really like the shaft or really dislike the shaft, no in betweens. It wouldn't hurt to have it spined & FLO'd or pured if you go to Golfsmith, but they are pretty darn good right off the shelf.

This came in the 14* Rescue Dual TP I bought. It's the 86 gram, .370 OD, stiff flex. A regular would probably be a little bit better for me (~90-95 SS), but I kinda like that I have to commit to the shot speed. Ball flight is a nice mid height that rolls out with this head. I'm pleasantly surprised.

i have the 104g stiff in my Titleist 585h 19 degree, and i can do almost anything with it. i can hit it high, draw, fade and long DTL... but i can't work it low (say, under a tree limb) and long like a 3-iron. small trade-off, and keep me playing smarter golf anyway.
