Well, I got to play my first round with my T35 and I must say it's firmly placed in my bag.

The looks of the wedge are just perfect. It fits my eye better than ANY wedge I've ever had. The leading edge is right in line with the hosel, which is something I love. Perfect in the looks department.

Fantastic feel as well. Even though it's made out of 8620 carbon steel (same as vokeys), it just feels great. Crisp and not too soft. If Sonartec can replicate this feel with a set of irons, I'll be the first in line to buy them. No need to make this wedge in raw because it already feels perfect to me.

The sole grind is excellent. The sole has a bit of camber to it and enough bounce to keep it from digging on even the steepest of swings (something I've struggled with on M grinds I've playd in the past). When open the wedge lays flat, and flops and pitches are very easy from a wide variety of lies. Holding the wedge wide open on tight lies was a bit of an issue, but honestly I doubt the 56 is meant to play off that. I imagine the 60* would perform admirably in that situation. On full swings it's very stable through the turf. One minor issue is on severe knockdowns with the club hooded and the ball back in my stance the sharp leading edge did seem to dig a little, but nothing too bad.

Out of the sand is where this wedge really shines. I'd call sand play one of the strengths of my short game. However, the word "cheating" comes to mind when trying to describe this wedge, because that's how easy this wedge makes sand play. Everything comes out high and soft. Just open up the wedge and swing, it takes all the guess work out of it. The only wedge that made sandplay easier was the Solus.

Spin wise it's a little early to say exactly how the wedge will perform. The grooves are still very sharp and need to be broken in a little bit more. However, I had no problems stopping short 60-80 yard shots as well as chips and pitches aroun the greens. Full swings were coming back like a freight train. I'll try and keep you guys updated after a month or so.

I'd really urge everyone to give this wedge a try. Feel aficionados I think will be especially impressed because this wedge seems to find the middle ground between Mizuno and Titleist which is something I think a lot of people strive for. Give it a shot, it's worth every penny IMHO.

Great work Erik and Sonartec!

To sum it up in a few words or less, Sonartec has a winner on their hands with this wedge. I have a couple of the handmade proto's and they're right up there with the other "high performance" wedges that are available today...RAC TP's, Vokey Spin Milled's, Cally X-Tours, etc.

Obviously, the first thing that's going to appeal to you when you see this wedge is the grind. It's truly unique when comparing it to other "off the shelf" wedges. And yes, it's extremely versatile as well. Deep rough, sand and firm fairways were not an issue at all. I was able to perform a variety of shots with this wedge w/o any problem. At address, the wedge is very clean looking and the raw finish is icing on the cake.

Performance wise, I'm not sure how the handmade proto's compare to the retail version, but the ones I have DO NOT have the milled faces. I have been informed that the grooves on the handmades are more aggressive so take that into consideration when reading.

Overall, these babies are SHARP (pun intended) and have an incredibly soft feel to them. The Yo-Yo grooves indeed live up to the expectation, but then again, what high performance wedge hasn't? My guess is that since 'Y-Cutter' and 'Mack Daddy' were already being used, 'Yo-Yo' was the next best marketing strategy. I didn't have any excessive issues with ball shredding...just your average marks after full swings. They definitely put some spin on the ball and check nicely around the green. Oh yeah, did I mention these were SOFT?

My two "complaints" (if you want to even call it that) is 1.) the wedges are only available in 52/56/60 degree lofts at this time. Yes, I know Chip Usher has a handful of 54/58's, but for someone that wants to buy one off the shelf, they're S.O.L. until the demand for these goes up. 2.) The lofts/lies listed need to be checked. My 52° was 3° weak and 2° upright while my 60° was 2° strong. I guess with softness comes a price.

Am I satisfied with Sonartec's latest venture into the wedge arena? You bet. Will your average golfer know what you're talking about when you mention the T35 Wedge? Probably not.

As I mentioned in my first sentence, Sonartec has a winner on their hands here folks, but marketing is going to be their biggest problem.

I have just received a stamped proto t15b07 in the post today. What is the difference between this an the t35 it looks the same only difference is proto is in red on mine and the letters are dancing like on cameron putters and it is also stamped 9 of 50. Is this one of the handmade models?

I've been playing these wedges for about 4 months now. They have done everything thus far. Superior feel to the Vokey SM's I replaced. Something people are forgetting to mention is that these are FORGED. That's why the soft feel. They spin right up there with the Y-cutters and such, but have that soft feel that is unmatched. Like a previous post said, they hit the middle ground between Mizuno and Titleist. Forged heads with spin milled faces are few in today's market. The best part is the price. You can find them pretty cheap due to the lack of marketing from Sonartec. It's a win-win situation in my book. And the lack of various lofts is easy to fix. These babies are so soft, they can be bent easily. I have my 52 bent to 51 and my 56 bent to 55, but they could withstand much more if needed. Kudos to Sonartec for the best wedge on the market that nobody knows about.

I have a t35 58* wedge. Two full rounds and four niners with it in the bag.

It is great- easy to hit off tight lies, easy to open up, cuts through rough, etc. Good feel on delicate chips. I pretty much use it for every shot within 100 yards. To vary distance, I just choke down a little or open the face a little, etc.

Easy to control spin- haven't really been able to hit spinners and runners predictably until now. Might be better technique, but my 53* Cleveland 588 TSC Diadic doesn't exhibit the same difference in spin on chips. The difference in spin in spinners and runners isn't very different- lower loft makes a difference, but comparing the two type of chips with the same club they seem more similar than the Sonartec.

Haven't hit into a bunker with it in the bag, so I haven't used it out of the sand yet.

This isn't much of a review, but if you're looking for something forged with a versatile grind, this is it. Too bad they are difficult to find now.

I don't have the T35 but I do have a T46 wedge, and it is the best wedge I have played yet. The grind makes it easy for me to open up the face and the wedge puts a crazy amount of spin on the ball. These can be had for pretty cheap now, so if you have not tried one I suggest picking one up, you will never regret it.

how are the distance on the t46?

im thinking about buying one, but i owned a t35 proto with project x shaft and i play a draw and i couldnt hit one with tthe t35

and i lost about 10-15 yards with it.

face was always open, i didnt like it at all. (good for around the greens)

but im thinking about giving the t46 a shot

but whats the distance compared to others.

i currently can hit my 56 anywhere from 100 to 120
