What's your favorite skins game?

I have two different sets of guys I play with and I'm looking for some good skins games to play with both groups.

 

The first group is made up of me, a 3 hdcp, and two guys who hover around a 13 hdcp and a 4th who doesn't keep a handicap but is probably about a 16 or so. Skins games are hard to come up with since we're not too evenly matched, non us want to keep track of handicap strokes on different holes, and the two guys will play to manipulate their handicap when money isn't on the line. The game we most commonly play is Wolf.

 

The second group is made up of 4 pretty evenly matched players, all mid single digit hdcp's.

 

So, I'm looking for skins game suggestions for when you're dealing with evenly matched players and unevenly matched players.

 

What have you got for me?? :)

Players rotate being the "Wolf." The player designated as the "Wolf" gets to choose whether to play the hole 1 against 3 (himself against the other three players in the group) or 2 on 2.

 

And if the Wolf chooses to play 2 on 2, he must choose his partner immediately following that player's drive. Example: Player A is the Wolf. Player B hits a bad drive. Player C hits a pretty good drive. If the Wolf wants C as a partner, he must claim his partner before Player D hits his tee ball.

 

The side with the lowest better ball score wins the hole. If it's 2 on 2, then the winning side wins the bet. If it's 1 on 3, the Wolf wins double or loses double.

 

There's also Lone Wolf, in which the Wolf announces before anyone tees off - including himself - that he's going it alone, 1 on 3.

Can't say for sure for the uneven group but you may want to do regular skins with no carry over's. That evens it out a little.

 

But I play in a evenly matched group. HDCP's range from 5-11. We simply play for "Xdollars or cents" per skin with carry over's. The wrinkle that we throw in is that if you win a skin you must validate on the next hole or they continue to carry over. It increases the gag factor.

we have everyone one put in 10 bucks each in two piles..

 

one for skins ( straight up) and one for greenies and sandies..

 

so if we have two groups of 4 we have two teams so there is 80 bucks out there.. plus the $2 team bets ..

 

on par 3's closes to the pen and makes par get a greenie.. if you birdie is two greenies..

 

if you get in a bunker and get up and down for par its a sandy.. if you get a birdie with it.. its two sandies..

 

its a great way to get all sorts of players the ability to make some $$

We enjoy progressive birdies. We play it on top of a normal skins game. Your first birdie is worth $2 - second is worth $4 - third is worth $6 - etc. We also put a dollar amount on all the other stuff - greenies, sandies, rabbits, etc.. The low man on the front side has the option to 'push' and double the values on the back side to try and get his money bac.
