Q about Nike CPR 18 deg iron/wood

right shaft?

not sure specs - but its a black colored graphite shaft. I need a club for 215-230 yards. My SS is about 95=-105 MPH but I don't want a hybrid with a soft shaft and hook tendency - prefer a stiffer feeling shaft that I can fade.

Is there a tour model and standard model (like TM rescue) ? This club is on sale at local golf store for $98 ($CDN).

I have played a regular stock shaft in this club for almost 3 years, and have not found it problematic. Admittedly, I would guess my swing speed probably tops out in the low to mid-90s (based on the shafts I play and the results I get with them, and not on any machine measurement), whereas yours seems to start in that range.

 

Overall, I've found the head/shaft combo workable in both directions, without a particular "miss" tendency (i.e. hook-bias or fade bias). I do find fades a little bit easier to pull off, but that just may be my swing talking.

 

In response to your other question, there is no tour/non-tour model differentiation for the CPR line. I don't think the CPR line, first introduced in 2003, was made with tour players in mind.
