Im in Japan on vacation right now. Is there any equipment out that I should try to buy while Im here?

Mizuno will custom make irons for you. I think they are in Tokyo. With or w/o markings, black oxidized or not....wow! Wish I could go there and drop some coin. I'm sure it will NOT be cheap.

Look at some of the used club shops around for some good deals! Check for Japan only equipment and let us know what you find. Look for a set of Tourstage MR-23's for me if you don't mind! :)

I'd skip the Mizuno's. Although my last two iron sets were Mizuno's there are a lot of more interesting stuff only available in Japan. Check out the ON OFF cavity backs, XXIO's, Maruman's, Beres cb's, S Yards. All great looking, well made and great playing and only available in Japan.

The PRGR blades look really nice, try the G Field wedges as well.

I just saw the new Jpan only (as of now) V steel fairway woods. Those are a　good looking fairway wood. Ive also found the Callaway ERC golf balls and plan to buy a sleeve or two of each version. They also have Taylormade Silver Max and the Titleist GranZ balls. They also have the ERC Hot drivers and so super cool Gauge Design putter grips that are only $15! A few of those might be coming home. Im trying to track down some of the sales brochures to bring back.

I've hit the ERC ball, man it's a brick but LONGGGGGG i mean long really, pity you have to pitch 20 yards short of the green just to get it stop though.

 

Man the S Yard clubs cost a fortune. I've never seen driver that dear, even tour proto's got for less than those on e-bay pre release

You could also pick up a couple dozen Mizuno golf balls, I'm interested in trying them myself.

Love Mizuno stuff. Tried the Mizuno control ball and was very disappointed, especially when compared to Bridgestone B330S and the ProV1.

Well when i was in tokyo last yeart i past a golf shop on the way to akihabara. Saddly i couldn't go in but i looked at some of the stuff they had in the bargin bags outside and it looked very interesting. I can't wait to go back and buy some stuff.
