Anybody who is willing to comment... I’m looking at ordering my first custom Mak bag, what kind of price range am I looking at? Different ones from SSC and TBC have ranged from $600-$900, I imagine ordering directly through them would not be quite as much. Please chime in if you have some info

Nylon builds are $399 on the website builder. But add shipping. It’s $50

 

Leather and waxed canvas are considerably higher

If you want a rangefinder or water bottle pocket that is also an additional $50. The builder also shows the cost of embroidery. Initials appear to be free but they charge for names, logos, etc.

Think I’m going to pull the trigger on a Sunday Walker in ballistic nylon. I plan to carry a 8 or 9 club set in it and if the forecast calls for rain or high heat, I’ll use my SM on the ClicGear...

Do believe they have more colors than what is shown on website but no idea how many. For example, have seen many camo nylon bags but those aren't shown in the builder.

P.S. I believe it is their strong preference you contact them directly so they can work with you to get the bag just the way you want it. For example, I think a two color bottom looks really cool. That's not an option mentioned on the builder at all but its pretty common. No idea if that costs more though.

I also recommend looking through the gallery, that will give you some ideas, seems like almost anything you can dream up they can pull off.

Just a quick note to say I'm really really really really happy with my nylon Mackenzie.

I've been carrying 10 clubs in an 8" bag, but it could easily hold 14. I switch shoulders throughout the round to spread the load and it's equally comfortable on either side. Putting the bag on the ground during shots hasn't bothered me at all.

Depends on the bag and details. Expect to pay between 600-800 for a canvas or leather. Nylon is cheaper too. With additional options and embroidery, could easily get to the $1000 mark

I believe canvas starts at $700, and leather starts at $1000, and it’s quite easy to get the price up there with customizations

They can do whatever you want but my rangefinder pocket was actually an elastic band leather pocket attached to the side of the main pocket. Honestly I would pass on it unless they are able to make it bigger as it barely fits a standard rangefinder. Fortunately it is a good size for the divot mix tubes at my course so I just kept it.
