Guy who I've been messaging doesn't seem too motivated to help out with getting a bag.

If you are looking for help in terms of a discount I don’t think you are going to find it. There really is no help needed, design the bag you want, they will send a rendering if the custom builder online can’t do the bag you want, then finalize it and send payment. If you need help designing a bag, post your ideas here and see what some might suggest as far as colors etc.

Nope not looking for any discount, and that's kinda my point.  Mackenzie is built as a premium brand, so I guess I'm expecting decent response time.  I'm having trouble having the person get back to me to hep build my bag.  Most recent gap in communication is about two weeks.  Im doing this via email, which I figured would be easiest, but perhaps talking to someone would speed this process up.

I worked directly with Nic, the owner, but that was because of my unique situation (trading a “historic” bag back to the company). He was awesome and responded to every email within 24 hours. Basically I went through their gallery and picked bits and prices that I liked and he made the mock up. I think what you’re describing is the infinite possibilities that aren’t available through the online bag builder. You would be correct that whatever you can imagine, they can make but it will require some personal attention. My finished bag was perfect.

First round with this Pinehurst Mackenzie 7" Sunday bag, shot a solid 75 walking and enjoying the walk...some things to note...sunday bag fits 14 clubs no problem, with trestle sticks, I play in CA so no cold weather gear to note...1 pocket is fine and fits everything you need. I can see myself using this bag a looong time. (bought this bag because i didn't want to wait for a bag to be made)

If you are looking for one just wait till they have a 20% or more sale. They do it randomly...this time it was easter, they do it for fathers day as well and the most they have off is 29% on February 29th...happens 1x every 4yrs....

Money well spent on the Mackenzie! The original Walker is perfect. The front pocket holds a dozen balls, some

tees, water bottle and a quarter zip with no issue. Love the customization that can be done making each one unique.

There is a carbon fiber spine. They definitely don’t fold. From the Mackenzie website mentioning it:

How is the range finder pocket working for you?  Is it easy to access while walking up to the ball?  Any issues with it falling out?

I typically set the bag down and remove it from the pocket.  My range finder has never fallen out.  I use the pocket for fairway fill and my cell phone as well.  Highly recommend.

Just got my order in yesterday.  I have been lusting after this bag for a while, and after my trip to Bandon where my buddy had one, I had to place an order.  Ian @ Mackenzie was excellent to deal with on a few minor changes I requested after the first mockup.  My advice, call them directly.  It was a great conversation and helped speed the process.

Now the (painful) wait begins!

My dad had ordered a bag and it finally arrived, so I figure I would share. He got a 3 wood head cover a for a gift and liked it so much he went full in with a leather 8” one pocket and a few more head covers to go with it.

I know Macks are supposed to be carry bags but sometimes I like to have a push cart. 

 

Is there anybody that could recommend a decent push cart for Mackenzies?  I love the look of Walker Trolleys but have heard its not a good fit... 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
