Why I buy all of my clubs online.

First off, I personally want to thank the person who said golf professionals work 50 -60 hours a week and may not have the time to research these hundreds of "tour" clubs, shafts, etc. I'm a Canadian PGA Professional and try to keep up on all clubs and equipment that is out there. Working 50-60 hours a week, we professionals do not always have the time to research equipment. We having other things to worry about such as budgets, organizing tournaments, marketing, other financials, etc. We try to help out everyone as best as possible. The biggest thing that we hate especially with members at our courses is when YOU BUY SOMETHING SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT WE CARRY AND PROCEED TO TELL US WHAT A GREAT DEAL YOU GOT without even first giving us a chance.

As for the guys who walk into shops proclaiming to be know it alls and make employees feel low and stupid - you should treat these people with respect even if they know less than you. How would you like it if they went to your job and treated you like garbage - you probably wouldn't like it.

As for eBay - you do realize that IT IS A PUBLIC AUCTION where things are sold for cheap.

I would also like to say thank you to the poster that understands how many hours your local pga pro works and what they have to deal with.

As for finding a "nich" for my small store, I do fittings on ALL my iron sales for free and if I can save the grip I will even shorten the clubs and do the loft and lie for free. If they need to be extended then all I will charge is the cost of the extensions and the new grips. Thats the only way that I can compete against the big shops.

That sound like great service!!! Wish you were in Oklahoma. You would get all of my money. I have no problem with buying from a knowledgable dealer with good service and don't really mind paying a little more if I get that. But most of what I get in my area is someone trying to sell me something I don't want. I think the reason I have purchase alot on line is that I just don't have the time to go to the shops. I might be emailing you for my future purchases as you really sound like a stand up guy!!!

Thanks for the kind remarks. Its guys like you in my area that keep the shop hanging around. I will do what I can for the customer.

Please guys, before you buy at the big online stores, give the little guys a shot as they might suprise you and don't forget about this sites sponsers as they are here for a reason.
