Titleist 585H and 503U...?

very confused, is there a difference...

I have searched this site several times and read the posts about the new Titleist hybrids, but I'm still not sure i understand the difference between the 585H and the 503U...(if there is a diff) my bag is set minus a 2i/hybrid, can anyone shed some light on this for me...appreciate it.

is there a 585.H (dot) and a 585H...?

I believe that they were just early prototype differences in the 585 and the 503U. But I'm certain that the 585 is what will come to retail.

 

Now, as far as a 585.H and a 585H, I have heard that both will be out, with one as a higher launch/easier to hit, and the other being a lower launch/players model. I'm not sure which gets the dot though.

I know they did a "dot" with some earlier Titleist irons, but i don't know which was which. anyone out there have a clue? this is going to be the final addition to my bag...? thanks

I would also like to know whta's the higher launch easier to hit version and what's the lower launch model? Here are so many Titleist lovers, I cna't think nobody knows yet...

When comparing the 690mb and 690.mb models....The no dot model is more the "players iron". I would imagine that they would stay along the same lines.

wasn't the 690.mb just an improved version of the 690.mb, neither were 'players irons' were they?

That's not exactly true. The 690.MB was just the successor model to the (original) 690MB. Titleist changed the specs on the "dot" MB's, consistent with their general changes in all of their iron specs, to a little longer and more upright. I think that there is a historical specifications listing somewhere on Titleist's website. Or at least there used to be. Anyway, that is what you will find. Titleist said they made the changes because so many players were custom-ordering sets at 1/2" long and a degree or two upright, they decided to just make them all that way. I think the lofts remained the same, and that the head shapes are virtually identical. Without the model numbers stamped on them -- the "." that is -- I'd bet you couldn't tell them apart...

i love the energy coming from my post, though it does seem to be diverging from the topic. does anyone know anything about the dot or no dot versions of the 584H and for those people who have hit this club, how it compares to the sonartec MD? thanks ya'll, keep up the good work

The information that i was given about the 2 is as follows.

 

I was told that the 585H that i have is designed for a lower ball flight and 585-H is designed for Higher ball flight ( easier to hit). I have no way to confirm this but for a easy comparison that is what i was told.

 

I can't compare them to the MD as i have never played with an MD.

 

Sorry, this the only info i was given regarding the difference in the 2 clubs.

Sorry for the wrong information guys. I was under the impression that the offset was increased in the dot models. After looking into it I was wrong they are the same.

 

I did find some information to confirm that the lie and length are the the only differences.
