my honeymoon with SGI's

It's kind of crazy that this thread got revived just as I was looking at G410's online LOL

I don't know, I think I changed a bit as a player. When I started this thread back in 2010 I was much more of a power player and was a pretty average ballstriker for a scratch. Maybe below average. I really liked the forgiveness of the g15's

As the years went on I became a very good ballstriker for my index. I would say from tee to green I have the game of a +3, +4 type player. I rarely badly mishit balls in a normal round, so I just didn't really need any forgiveness and just bought nicer looking clubs.

But oddly enough, I kind of am toying with g410's.

I used a set of AP2's all of last year and for me iron play is by far my biggest weakness. Due to this I was looking for something more forgiving and was actually thinking G410's as well. They have all the forgiveness of the regular G irons but with a smaller head design. I haven't seen a full set however though so no decision made yet

  • 1 year later...

I’ve moved on to G25s right when they came out and I am still playing them to this day. All the way down to a 0.7 right now.  I’ll never go back to a players CB. I am eyeing the G425 though

Is anyone still using G15s so many years after the fact or has everyone moved on?

I still have a set.  Sometimes I think I need more forgiveness and am tempted to put them back in the bag.

I moved on to a few other things, but now play G410's again

It’s hard to overstate how much of an impact your thread has had on my golf game for the last 9-10 years. Cheers @MtlJeff

I still play G15s, 3-PW.  I go back and forth between them and my Nike VR Pro Blades (two sets or irons that you’d think couldn’t be more different). I have both of them in x100 shafts, same swing weight, grips, etc.  Before getting fit at club champion last season I made a list of all the irons I’ve owned in the last 10 years and it is sickening.  I sold the set of G410s I was fit for after a couple of months. For me, nothing has come close to the level of feel and forgiveness of the G15s.  They certainly aren’t the prettiest club to look down at but they simply work and feel amazing. Plenty of feedback when not hit in the middle but fantastic when flushed.  I’m sure I’ll move on eventually but they still continue to impress. I’ve had them in 4 different sets of shafts and settled back on x100. Great combination.
