Looking for a GOOD instructor in the FRESNO, CA area.

Will travel a bit for the right match.

Hoping somebody on here can recommend a good instructor in my area. I live a bit south of Fresno, CA and so far am not having much luck with instructors.

Monterey is about 2 1/2 hours drive and I'm sure there's some top knotch guys there but I also can't afford to pay somebody $200 for a 30 minute lesson.

Look up Phil Fezler at Riverbend, just north of Fresno. I played many tournaments with him as an amateur and after we both turned pro and I'm confident you will be very happy with him as an instructor. He taught his younger brother Forrest, who played the PGA Tour. Forrest is the guy who ducked into a portapotty and changed into shorts in the middle of one of his tournaments. http://www.riverbendgolfclub.com/staff.shtml

Thanks for the tip on the Pros in Fresno. I'll have to check them both out and check out their 'style'. I'm too far into the game (and my life) to go through a total swing makeover. I play to a solid 7 right now and am just looking for someone that will work with the swing I have and help me tighten things up a bit.

I'm tired of going to guys who show me videos of Adam Scott and tell me that I need to swing like him. If golf was a game that was always won by the guy with the prettiest swing then I'm sure Adam would be ranked #1 in the world. But lucky for me it's a game of getting the ball in the hole and I need an instructor who can think outside the box a bit.
