Allright...here comes a shameless plug...

I work part-time in a Store in Cambridge, Ontairo Canada. Cambridge Golf and Fashions (formerly Dimarco Golf/Nivada Bobs).

We are a midsize golf retailer who carries all major brands and cater to beginning to advanced players.

"What we lack in size we make up for in service."

What about everybody else...I know that we must have some connections to get the goodies that we play!!

I work at our local Golfsmith in Palo Alto, CA, during summers and school vacations.

 

Not much access to tour equipment, but have been able to meet some reps, and that never hurts.

I'm in there all the time!! I love that place.... I swear, my husband is going to take away my CCs for spending so much $$ in there. I like the range also...the heaters are great in the winter and the screens are my favorite. You don't feel like you're on display.

you have to fill out order requests with your district manager after working there for at least 45 days. each OEM has their own discount, but all give really good prices. depending on your area reps some OEMs might be easier to deal with than others. around my area ping and mizuno are the best so the entire store staff uses those two companies almost exclusively.

Waynesville Country Club 1st assistant pro, we have a unbelievably big pro shop, which was rated top 100 in the country a couple years back. Teaching pro at big B's Driving Range in Canton. During my 3 months off in the winter, I work at golfUSA in Asheville doing club fittings, re-shafting, bending, re-gripping, and all that good stuff. All my friends tell me to go to school, and I look at them and laugh... how many other 20 year olds are doing what Im doing?!?!? I LOVE my jobs!!!! HOORAY FOR THE GOLF BUSINESS!!! I want to eventually be a tech rep for a company on tour, rubbing elbows with touring professionals, and building their equipment. Either that or work for HotSticks in Arizona, or on one of the HotSticks touring vans.
