I have been using mine for awhile and I am not that big of a fan. They are good wedges, but I don't think I am getting any more spin than I used to with other wedges. Worse, I don't think they really fit my type of swing and I am growing tired of trying to make the adjustments.

Last week for a round I switched out with some oil cans. They spun a little less, hardly noticeable, but I like the setup much better. They make the SMs seem clunky even though they really are very close in size. Side by side, I like the heel grind better on the oil can 200 series. And they just seem a bit thinner at top. I will probably make the switch, but I sure wish they had a SM face on a oil can 200 series setup.

The SM vokeys feel little different from the regular 200s. Maybe I'm used to the cleveland wedges. My friend KING had his SM for awhile, but he tells me it still rips the balls off, especially the proV1s. I guess SM's for people who can't generate enough spin with their swing, like me.

For me, the SMs are best for 3/4 to full shots. Anything else, my 588s seem to work better especially on greenside delicate chips. Maybe I'm just used to my 588s

I bough mine last year (6004). I also have a 200 series oil can (5410) with a bit more heel/toe relief . I'm liking the oil can. Not too crazy about the SM. Probably more so because of the width of the sole. I prefer a narrower soles lob wedge. I put a modified (heel/toe relief) raw Cleveland 588 back into the bag. The SM iniatially had a lot of bite to it. I still a lot of spin out of my Cleveland.

I initailly bought the SM to help me tame some greens...which it did..but I'm finding the I prefer the feel of the oil can over the satin SM. Maybe i just need to get an oil can SM and send it to JK so he can work his magic...or take a look at the new sonartec wedges ;)

having played cleveland 588 rtg's and mizunos mp-t raw, i've decided to switch back to vokeys this year. they're great and i couldn't be happier. do they spin more? no but it bites the ball like a crazy pitbull and the ball is unplayable after 18 holes. if your greens in regulations are good. if not maybe after 9 holes...

good to know that the spin milled destroys balls after a round of golf. I was planning to purchase at least one sm vokey wedge but after reading all of your posts, i can't afford to "throw away" balls just after a round. $3.00 each per ball. That's $$$.

Got my first 60.04 when they were launched in the uk last year. The spin was great when new and for quite a while after. Totally crap now it's worn out though! (i did hit 0000's of practice balls through the winter)

Very likely to replace with another, keep the old one for use at the range and the new one just on course!

I love mine. I have been playing with a 58* for little over a year now. It is pretty beat up as it gets quite a bit of use. With time, the wedge has worn down and does not destroy balls as it did when brand new. However, whenever I put a hard swing on a lob wedge, I usually see some shredding if I pinched it good, regardless of club or ball type.

I would recommend one to anyone...nice set up, lots of spin, quite easy to control the trajectory.

I love the feel of mine. I have the 60/8, which I purchased about three months ago. This was a dramatic change for me since I have been playing Cleveland wedges for the last decade and a half. I have not been happy with how soon the face has deteriorated. Also, I am playing the Srixon ZUR, and the Spin Mill just shreds that ball around the green, like people have said about the ProV1. I like how the head of the wedge feels heavy in my hands. This seems to help me accelerate through the shots around the green. Does anybody know how the Spin Mills compare to the Rac Black TP wedges?

I love my SM58.08. I've had it since April and I use it as my primary tool from inside 60 yds. Plays fantastic out of the sand too. I use it to chip, pitch, flop... it allows me to be very creative around the green. I find the sole grind to be very versatile. I will attest that it tends to cheese grate my HX Tours on fuller shots, but no complaints. No doubt about it, this wedge is a keeper.
