I am probably a club fitter's nightmare. I am only 5'0. I have a 96 mph ss average and I play to 8 hdcp. I have spent many many hours at a local club fitters tinkering to get things right for my height to maximize the effectivness of my equipment. He has done wonders for me. During those hours I have come to pick up on a few things, but I need some expert advice on a driver shaft because I am thinking of buying a new one (AXIV 5564M or 5060M) and at my height you only get one shot because the shaft is ruined for most people when I get done with it.

I will be cutting the shaft to 43 inches. I will also be adding an insert in the shaft to bring the swingweight back to a D1. My questions are as follows:

Will trimming from the butt end "stiffen" the shaft any?
Will the head weight in the tip of the shaft effectively "soften" the shaft to flex?
Will these two things negate each other?
What CPM would a shaft have to play at in order to be a soft stiff (or firm flex) at 43 inches?
What CPM would a shaft have to play at in order to be a stiff flex at 43 inches?
Will the cutting of 3 inches drastically effect the trajectory of the shot?
