RAC LTs from the tour van......FORGED!

Sure looks like more than a ding from normal play. But then again, I'm probably one of those idiots who don't know anything since I don't play on tour. He probably took a hammer to the clubhead in anticipation of selling them as "forged".

I wouldn't touch those if I were you, especially given the very rude response from the Seller. .

 

To my knowledge none of the LT's were ever forged, even for the Tour. The forged model equivalent is the Miura forged Satin RAC CB which looks quite similar but did not have the plastic weight ports. That said, LT's are known to have a soft feel for a cast club, but being cast they are more durable.

 

I seriously doubt those are truly forged as the Seller described, and , with one of the clubs that damaged, I definitely would not risk it.

If this "gentleman" went to college I'd ask for my money back. He certainly is no English major.

Sentences begin with a capital letter. Typo.. OK we all transpose letters. Grinded... interesting word. Must be similar to the common past tense of grind ... ground.

 

And tour van issued but no mention of the shaft of than they are steel.....

This auction is for a set of taylor made rac Lt tour van issued irons. 3- pw. stiff steel shafts. one inch over standard lenght, standard lie. clubs are in good condition with exception to a nick on the bottom toe of the 8 iron from hitting a rock. it is shown in the picture. 3 and 4 iron are slightly grinded on the back in order for all the swing weights of the irons to be perfect. good luck and if there are any questions feel free to ask.

Heheheh, apparently, he has never seen the abuse that my cast Cleveland TA4 has taken on the local range... every once in a while, you find the only rock on the range that day, and boooooyyy does it indeed nick upon contack with said hunk of minerals :) :smilie_cally: :smilie_ping:
