Dirty Golf Gloves

Cleaning...

After a weekend of pounding balls on the range, my gloves get dirty.
Is there a way to clean a glove without messing it up? Is there a way to remove the sweat/oil from the glove without washing it and making it become a hard shell that cracks the next time you put it on?

Buy several next time and rotate them frequently. Every 5-8 shots. If nothing else, it will help you slow down a little.

You might want to try leather cleaner, but it's really probably best to just buy some new ones.

I have several that I switch to when one gets sweaty. The gloves are in good shape, but even letting them dry out, they have a greasy feeling, and it's hard to hold the club. I was hoping there was a trick to cleaning them, or at least something to remove the oil from the glove. I keep my grips clean, but with the heat and humidity down here, it does not take long for me to sweat and thus dirty glove and grip.

I hear you...Here in Louisiana it's hot, humid, skeeters and red bugs during the summer. Cool/cold weather is not common at all...

I've heard of people washing them in the regular laundry, but I tried it with NO success. As others suggested - I rotate at least 2-3 gloves during the hot weather months.

I did both. The regular washer is just fine. Just hanging them to dry after washing, don't use the dryer.

But the easy way is always getting 2-3 extra gloves.

And the truth is, compard to ProV1 or even XL2000, the cost of gloves is really nothing -- at least you won't lose a glove in woods or in water.

I have had a lot of luck with just washing them on the gentle cycle. I have seen these little plastic 'hands' you can put in them afterward to keep their form (not sure if that is what they were designed for but I plan on buying one when I see one again). Definitly let it air dry, I am sure a dryer will ruin them.

I never really would have considered washing if I didn't wash one by mistake.

Also, a little bleach (assuming it is a white glove) will help.
