We have a fairly big aussie contingent here. I think alot of Ozgolf nuts are here. One of our "Marshalls", AddamSmith, is an Aussie.

I'm down in Melbourne. I'm only 16 so I don't get play that many tournaments because of school commitments but next year I will be able to play Colts pennant again because I just moved clubs to Victoria GC. I'm heading up to play either New South Wales GC or Royal Sydeny or maybe both in July. Which one is better? From what I know, they're both pretty good clubs.

By the way, my clubs are set and they will never change. Yes I know someone will say that it will change but I can't afford it now that all my clubs are premium clubs.

I'm in Brisbane. There are a heap of ozgolfers in Brisbane who frequent WRX for tour info and reviews etc. I play mainly at Brookwater, but have a basic hcap membership at Robina Woods on the Gold Coast.

I lived in Charlotte NC for a few years (98-02) and played a bit on the Amateur Golf Tour (was Carolina Blonde Tour). There's not really anything as organised as that downunder, but I still like to play different courses as much as possible.

My bag is a work in progress. I'd like to go all Titleist, and have just the irons to go. Was fitted the other week and am waiting on prices for 704.CB and 735.CM. I played X-12 and then TA3's in the states and then Tommy Armour evo v-25 forged when I came back. I kept my old 855s from uni as a backup set and am using them again for the time being. I'm also keen to grab a 585H when they are released to market.
Tasmania for me But originally from Melbourne, Im 17 and played 1 year of junior pennant and this year will play div 3 or 4 at my home club Mowbray Golf Club. I might move to Launceston Golf Club depends on where i live for school.
Forgive me for saying, I knew Tazmania was near Australia, but had to look it up on Wikipedea to be sure. Geography was never my strong point...

What a beautiful, exotic island. I was surprised to see there really is a Tazmanian Devil, not just a cartoon character.

Sorry for the thread jack, I am just fascinated to learn more about the area. You must never get tired of the scenery!

Thanks for posting,
Kevin
Kevin,

Tasmania is a great place to visit and home to one of Australia's best golf courses. Well worth the trip if you ever get the chance.

Oh my gosh, you weren't kidding. I went through the pictures on the website, one of the most beautiful courses in the world for sure!

I have a deep fondness for Australia. I was lucky enough to spend a school year in Melbourne as an exchange student in 1974. I loved the country and the people. I would love to get back someday, and if I can, I want to try to play that course!

Thanks Mates,
Kevin

Barnbougle is great, ive played there once and hope to do again soon. Kevin if you get down here we should try and get a WRX'ers day going i know we might not get any numbers but its worth a shot for this great course. If not enjoy your time down here in Oz and dont forget your sunscreen and insect repellent.

I usually fly down to Sydney two or three times a month. Used to play The Australian and New South Wales almost every month and have played Royal Sydney a few times. What great courses they are! Mostly only get to play The Coast nowadays but it has some great ocean views. Have golfed in Melbourne and Brisbane. Australian golf is some of the best in the world and Aussie golfers are the best blokes around. Our sister aviation unit in Vietnam was Australian and what tremendous guys they were. Cheers ...
