Yes!

After a brief two-round stint with an Odyssey Two-Ball, which I found I couldn't look at and felt like absoloute Mush, I returned it and picked up a Yes! Callie. All I can say is "I am Pysched!!" I love this thing! Spent two hours in the store trying everything under the sun and kept coming back to the Yes! putter. While it may not look at "pretty" as the Scottys, Bettinardis, etc., it just WORKS; plain and simple.

I love the weight, feel and sound, and man does it put a great roll on the ball! Roll was the reason I tried the 2-Ball, and thought it would be fine, but after putting it in play and leaving a bunch of putts short, I lost confidence in a hurry. I think when I originally tried it in the store I was putting with rocks which minimized the mushy feel.

Anyway, I've used various Scottys for years (original gun-blue Newport, Pro-Plat, Studio Stainless Newport2), and as much appriciation as I had for their looks, craftsmanship, etc, something was always missing. I think I finally found what it was....WEIGHT!! I just love the heavier feel and solid strike of the Yes! Callie!! It's in da bag!!!

By the way, can anyone give me any info about Yes!'s manufacturing process? I looked on their website and know the putter-head is 303 stainless and 355 grams, but I'm kinda wondering about their quality. I paid $149 for the putter at Golf Galaxy and noticed it's made in China. Is the putter head like 5 pieces welded together?? lolol Please don't tell me it costs $5.00 to produce these things...LOLOL!!

No, don't feel bad. It did not cost $5 to make. Just $7.50. Actually, probably close to that mark. That is why so many clubs are made China and alomost everything else. Take your $150 Yes putter. Could a company stay afloat with if thery are only make $10-20 a putter? No way. I really think most clubs cost a manufacturer for parts and labor, $20-30.

Yeah, I know....Thanks. I don't mind paying for R&D and quality control....that's what I always assumed I was getting with Scotty Camerons. However, it would just be nice to know that a strict manufactuing process is adhered to, even if once in production a club only costs $20. I just didn't see anything on the Yes! website that talked to "strict manufacturing tolerences," QC, etc...

I just traded in my Yes Marilyn for a 35" Callie. Although I love the look of Marilyn, I had

absolutely zero feel with the putter. I putted on the rug at Golf Galaxy with the Callie and

it felt pretty good. I didn't make an outlandish number of putts on the rug, but then again

I don't trust "making putts" at golf stores since I think the fake putting greens are set up.

I've gone through a number of putters over the years, and intend on giving the Callie enough

time in the bag to see if it is "the one." In reserve are the trusty old Odyssey 2-ball,

SC Tei3 Newport 2, and Ping Anser. I'm hoping to retire those three for good.

The only complaint I ave since getting my Callie is the headcover. Love the magnetic closure (much better than velcro for putter covers), but why is the opening under the putter-head!!??? It's backwards!! I'm so used to Cameron headcovers that this thing drives me crazy...It's really much more difficult to get on/take off...

I agree, yes putters are awesome but their quality control sucks. For some reason they have so many variations of one putter head in terms of color, sightlines, & face grooves.

Their magnetic headcover sucks too, it's too hard to get the headcover out. The velcro version wears out easily too.

Don't get me wrong, i love my Tracy putter but it's these little things that get to me.

I friggin hate the headcover! Drives me nuts. I replaced the Yes cover with a Scotty Cameron Las Vegas headcover. I just got a huge smile imagining that there is some SC collector somewhere who gasped at the thought of taking one of those headcovers out of the original packaging! Do SC collectors keep the headcovers and other accessories in their bags next to the unopened star wars action figures? Just kidding guys, if that's what you are into, god bless you, too expensive a habit for me, I will stick to the coke! :idhitit:

Anyways, back to topic. Love my Yes Callie. After first few weeks with it, I went back to my Red X. After two rounds with the Red X again, i realized my stroke was just terrible. After spending a few hours working on my stroke witrh each putter, I have found the Yes to be absolutely amazing. 1/2 the price of a newport and no 3 putts in 36 holes.

You know .. talking about made in china and Yes putter.

2 weeks after i bought the Tiffany Yes putter . I came into one of the old shop and saw a bunch of Yes putter, with those Kra... xxx grips and apollo shaft. and i spotted rusts on the putter heads... I thought to myself.. These are fake probably !.. and its significantly lower price.. 100 bucks or less . They dont have the protective film on them too .. so u know i prolly could be right. When i asked.. he gently admit they are "different"...

But the funny thing is , the fake ones actually felt softer and have slightly better feel , and the shaft actually have more offsets on the tiffany ... Oh well, does not warrant me to change a putter but anyway....... Sorry a bit of OOT. but thought i share this silly story.
