Impact of driver face

I know this is a total shot in the dark but I am wondering if there is anything to read into this. This is a pic of my driver's face after a weekend worth of golf. Notice the white marks where the tees have made impact. Does this look as it should? Does your drivers' face look similar?

I've only played twice with my new r7 460 and really didn't get the results I was looking for. Maybe I just need to iron it out a bit with some quality range time this week.

Ball flight is still relatively low.

Setup on the driver is r7 460 9.5 regular reax 60, 14 gram weight in the heel, 2 grams in the toe.

Again, I know this is a total shot in the dark since I don't have a video of my swing to post, just thought I would check with you guys to see if this looked ok. Seems to me if there are any tee marks on the face, they should be way down there at the bottom. Not mid way up the face. Could I be teeing too high and then trying to pick the ball off of the tee.

I left my impact tape at home this weekend. Next time out, I plan to take it to see exactly where I am catching the ball.

Any advice?

just add half a ball diameter to top of white marks to see center of impact, so depth wise your contact is fine, just worry about keeping a nice balanced swing since your toe/heel dispersion is a little high

maybe tee it up a bit so you will see ball marks high on the face and have a higher ball flight for more carry

If you draw a line on your ball to help line up you putts, you could set up the ball so that the face of your driver will impact the line. That way you can see during your round how you are hitting the ball.

You might want to take some lessons from an instructor because you need to tighten up your tee mark dispersion. No offense intended. It should look like this.

hey bill, i think you should use the red tee more often, looks like you had better luck with those. ;-)

i think it was luke donald's what's in the bag feature in golf digest recently where they showed all the tee marks on the bottom of his driver and it was basically one, long white line running down the sole, exactly the width of a tee.
