One Brand Only. For Everything.

Who you with?
I was equipment shopping with a friend of mind the other day and he ended up going with a full Cleveland setup; he specifically wanted to stick with a single brand. Now he's trying to track down a Cleveland bag. Myself, I play a mix of brands and have no strong loyalties but this got me thinking.

If you had to sign on to one brands current lineup for the year and agree to use their equipment in every category (provided they offer it), what would it be? And by every category I mean all 14 clubs, bag, ball, shoes, clothing, everything. If they offer it, you play it. And what area would you be most disappointed with?

---

I'll go with Mizuno. I'd be very happy with everything except the clothes (middling clothing line). I was considering Cobra w/Puma until I saw their putter lineup.

I would go Ping - but I don't like any of their wedges. Probably have to go Titleist because the Vokeys and Camerons.

except for my putter and balls, im all Taylormade.

I started out with Cobra stuff because I loved the look and their drivers were awesome. but the irons felt a little heavy for me. So I switched to the r7's and got a much lighter feel. Same with the wedges. And when the 07 Burner driver and woods came out I loved the look and feel so Im TM all the way now.

Ironically, I was wearing all Adidas gear and shoes because my girlfriend worked for them and I got everything for free and at the time, I didn't know TM was part of the Adidas group. So I was literally a walking billboard for TM/Adidas. but im comfortable, look good and the results don't lie so it is what it is for now.

Well I am loyal to Cleveland first because the local rep. hook me up with lots of "last" season equipment for cheap, they also made awesome clubs. Even if I don't have the reps. help I would game Cleveland stuff because other major brands are too pricy for me and Cleveland are much more reasonable. In the end they work good for me and I found consistency with my current set up.

Mine is totally Titleist.

Previously was all TM, but got tired of the constant new stuff (not starting a moan, have done it on dozens of treads) and the constant drop in quality if their TP line of irons.

Would consider MIzuno, but their woods are poor

Ping is an excellent option, all their stuff is good quality. Now if their new forged iron becomes available I may go all the way.........

I am almost all with Ping, cant give up the Betti Rory yet and my 3 wood is a tour issue dymo that I love but the rest is Ping. Ping to me is the company to use, not to mention there clubs hold the best value when you ever want to upgrade.

I'd go Adams, with Mizzy a close second.

I agree with these in terms of clubs in the bag, but sometimes I question the quality of some of their peripheral products like bags, gloves etc. I had a Mizuno GTX bag a while ago that was by far the worst I have ever owned.

I'd have to hop on the ping bandwagon.... G series driver and fairways, I series irons unless they let me keep on playing my Eye 2s that I love so much, Eye 2 SW for sure, one other tour series wedge with custom grinds, and that redwood series tess I saw spy pics of. They don't make balls or shoes, but I would play what they pointed me towards.

Wilson. Love their irons. Really like their FYbrids/hybrids and wedges. Also like the new putters they came out with. Not as sure about the drivers, but cannot hit a driver for cr*p anyway, so with my game not so much an issue. Even like their new balls, especially the C:25.

If money were no object, that's the way I would go. Money being what it is, I will stick with my current bargain-basement-mostly-bought-used set up....may spring for one of those putters though....

PING equipment... Nike clothes though.

Titleist for equipment....

J. Crew for clothes. C'mon guys....last thing you want to do on the golf course is LOOK like a golfer.

Nike....
Adidas.....
Callaway........all they do is make you look like a golfer.

Go Banana Republic or J Crew. The goal....look like a guy who just came from lunch and decided to play.

I might be alone, but I am partial to Tour Edge Exotics. Started with the CB-1 4 wood years ago and went from there.

However, I do play Scratch wedges and a Never Compromise putter.

Like someone said above, the reality is I could probably put together a bag from any one manufacturer, and my HC would probably stay around the same. In the end, it's the swing, not whose clubs you are playing.
