Just had my first Miura 300 experience.....

Like a lot of people on here I've been quite sceptical with regards to the seemingly holy grail that is the Miura forged 300 iron.

I've been through plenty of forged clubs, all the big boys ranging from mp33's to rac tpcb '06 so I felt that I knew what a good forging felt like.

Today I took delivery of some tour issued 300's 2-pw, sadly for me I had just finished 18 holes and a short practice session. By this evening I could resist no longer and gave in to temptation......I went to the range.

If I can sum these irons up in one word it would be..... er....... :D ...very difficult. One word is not enough. They are soft, very workable, long and unbelievably well balanced.

To all those doubters out there, how could you doubt the opinions of the members of the most knowledgable golf forum in the world?! They are all spot on!!

Anyway, as you can see in the pic, the face of the 7 iron took a hammering tonight and if I wasn't tired I'd still be out there pounding it into submission.

 

p.s - even the 2 iron is great, it may just push out the big bertha I've had in play since '02

I feel victim earlier this week to Lehman Miura 300's and now I have two sets (one like new) so I'm be selling the 8/10 condition set. CRAZY good.

Thanks! funny thing is though, I hit every iron from 2 to pw and they all look like that! 160 balls hit and I can honestly say they all came off the middle, it is NOT an everyday occurance though...trust me

I too am a 300 junkie and that is after having and playing two sets of actual Miuras: a limited edition blade set and a blade combo set. I love my 300s and had the shafts done by Joe Kwok. (Tour Concept X-100 soft stepped) The one thing I love about these irons is the sound they produce when you flush one sweet. I could listen to it on my iPod on repeat all day long and never get sick of it. Play well, thanks....

I've read and absorbed about these irons for almost a year now. I'm a dyed in the wool Hogan blade player forever, but my curiosity has been peaked... Where can you buy a legitimate set of these irons?....EBAY??

the 300 tours are awesome sticks...I got 2 sets now!!!! if I find a mint condition I'd buy it as a third back up :-)

Reshafted mine yesterday with Project X 6.5...

 

Can I say the experience just got better!!?? Thought they were great already, now there are definitely no words suitable!

 

As for sourcing a set kmrev, the bst on here is a good place to start then ebay

I just traded a satin Lehman set for an Xbox 360 and some games. I have a great condition chrome Lehman set with tour concepts that I am saving. I've played quite a few sets of Lehmans with various shafts and they have all felt very solid.

 

Still a great iron, but sometimes I think from praise given to these irons that people come to think that you can put any kind of swing and the ball goes automatically into the hole. IMO they do many things well, but not off the charts outstanding in one area in particular.

 

I am sure better players can appreciate all the nuances of Miura 300 more than I, but it should be kept in mind that the 300 forged are player cbs and far from game improvment forgiving.

I wish you did. Onlgy got the core 360 and need to get the hard drive. Didn't mind taking a hit on the trade as I think the Lehmans went to someone that will really appreciate them.

Love the 300 forged irons! I never gave them much of a chance until last year and since I picked up a set they haven't left the bag. I had hit everything, all the "holy grails" and hihgly regarded cavity back irons and they simply didn't compare to the 300's!
