Sandia Golf Club-New Mexico

Just wondering if anyone has played at Sandia Golf Club in New Mexico? I'm going to be back in New Mexico next week and thinking about playing there. Ive played paa ko ridge and its my favorite ever, but its a little pricey now. If you've played it, how walkable is it?

Its a decent course....nothing memorable though. It is a resort course for the casino. I would equate it to Legacy except out in the wide open instead of lined by houses, which makes it nice. Not sure the shape it is this year, but it is generally good.

It is very walkable, however, since you are from AZ you need to remember that ABQ is a little higher up altitude wise...so you may huff and puff a little more...you may have to cut the ciggies down while out on the course.

Consider Santa Ana as well....Twin Warriors if you get a decent price. If you can borrow an NM ID you can get a better rate there.

Wait..next week as in Mothers Day Weekend??? I will be back home that weekend....we can get a round in if so.

$59 to play Paako at twilite(after 2pm).

Im headed out there next Monday morning, and I'll be playing on Tuesday morning, then coming back on wed night. Ive got to play early in the morning on Tuesday or else I'd def head back to Paa Ko.

Sandia is a OB Sports club, so with my membership at Ahwatukee, I get discounted tee times at all OB courses, so I think its like $55 to ride at Sandia with discount. Same price to walk online, but 7700 yards from the tips! DIZZZZAM!

Just got back last night, really enjoyed the course as the facilities were very nice and the course was in fantastic shape. Fun yet challenging layout from the tips with some risk reward holes over forced desert carries if you want to get aggressive. just over 7700 yards from the tips, but with the elevation, it seems like it only played like 7100 yards maybe? On hole number 11, a par 5 that was playing 630, I hit driver 402 on the carts GPS, then airmailed the green with a 5 iron by like 20 feet. Really enjoyed it, everyone was very friendly and the course was a good place to play a nice vacation round. Not nearly as nice as PaaKo, but still totally worth the $45 rate w/cart.

Also, I really dont think I couldve walkeed this course, I wouldve died after 9 holes. 7700 yards, plus quite a few lengthy drives between holes.
