503H Feedback

I am looking for a club to fit between my 3W and 3I. I hit the 22* on the launch monitor today and got about the same distance as my 3I. Therefore, I am looking at the 503H 19* Aldila NV85. Does this look like a good fit? I am not interest in the upcoming 503U as I have tried the FT Hybrid and Heavenwood and prefer an iron type club.

My advice to you is to run as fast as you can in the opposite direction of any 503H within 100yds of a cash register. I would hit it outside if you can (not sure if you did this or not on the monitor). Maybe you are the man, I don't know, but the sweetspot on the airmuscle is so much easier to find than on the 503H. I have had owned both and had a satifying experience with the airmuscle so far. I'm usually pretty supportive of Titleist equipment, but in my opinion, they really blew it with their first hybrid offering. It is hard to hit even for good players. One has to wonder about the offset on the 503H. It is sickening.

 

Again, just my opinion, so hit them outside and make up your mind. Good luck in your search!

I just took a look at the Bridgestone. It looks too much like a FW Wood. I am looking for more of an iron-wood which is why the 503 is appealing. Thanks

Yes i have the Titleist 503.H and it is the best hybrid iron off the tee, but get anywhere near rough and you mind as well use your putter. And the way i see it, if it's difficult to get the ball out of rough with a hybrid, there's no point in calling it a hybrid. If you want a iron-hybrid that doesn't have a rediculous amount of offset, grab the Cleveland LDI.

dude. there have been many other threads about the 503.h and consensus is that it is a horrible club, especially if the rest of your clubs have reduced or minimal offset. I tried to like the 503.h for several months and just recently replaced it with an X-tour 2-iron (local stores didn't have the airmuscle in stock and I wanted something fast).

 

do yourself a favor and try the bridgestone. I'm 100% positive you were looking at bridgestone's utility woods...not their utility irons:

503H = CRAP

 

It is useless out of the rough, and has too much offset.

 

Run far, far away. It was bliss for me the first two weeks, then reality set in. Pure crap. Can't wait to try a 585.

 

It's for sale if you are still interested, I guess I'd make a bad salesman. 19' Aldila NV 85 Stiff. LOL
