One Putt is Down one last impromtu gathering

Had a lot of fun and learned a little something. Kevin and Jared, I'm not sure if I remember all the tips you gave me but I'll keep them in mind when I go to the range this week.

Matt, if you really (not for the special treatments) plan on seeing a doctor in Cali, you should check out the docs they have at Kerlan-Jobe in El Segundo. I'm not sure who would be the specialist there but they have some of the best sports medical practice in LA. All the athletes go there from around the world/country. I've been lucky enough to go there on several occasions for hockey injuries. Hey if they can keep me standing upright after all the punishment I took over the years, I think they've done a hell of a job!

Great time as usual, always a blast to get out with the fellow wrxers. Definatley some long drives coming from Jared an Kevin too bad you guys were playing the forward tees I kid I kid:cheesy: . Felt great to hit a few solid shots and drain a couple birdies again. Definatley couldnt blame the bad holes on the putter today....... cough 60 footer cough:D .

Not sure what the long term prospects are looking like. Sadly its getting tougher and tougher to make it 18 holes. Hopefully I can get some answers in the next couple of weeks. I love the game too much to call it quits, I am just having a hard time accepting the decline in my game.

Well I think I figured something out on Fri, took some aleve before my round to keep the inflamation of the hip down, and I made it pretty pain free throughout the round and my scores definatley improved because of it. Best round it 3 months, One missed fairway all day (only if you count hitting the wrong fairway once as a fairway hit:D ) Made some great par save putts on my way to a zero birdie 76 from the back tees at Talking Stick North 7133 yards par 70. I was pretty pumped about it since I have been so down on my game latley.

Matt, I have admit that is scary good, considering the hip situation and on a very long track.. Get well and take care of yourself, so I can have a front row seat to see your short game again...

Well I wasnt sure if that was just a fluke of a round where my hip just felt good or taking the aleve helped. We put it to the test again on Sunday at Legend Trail and sure enough posted another 76 that really should have been a 72-73 if you factor in a 3 putt par on one of the par 5's, two missed 5 footers and a bunker shot that was about 2 dimples away from rolling into the cup. Not to mention another 3-4 burnt edges or lip outs.
The good news was I didnt get over confident and challenge Medicaptain to a bet cause he left me in the dust. Overall I am very very happy with the last two rounds and it has given me some more excitment to continue playing until it gets worse. It was getting pretty rough on me mentally to keep seeing my scores creeping closer and closer to the high 80's
