the stinger will cost you as much as a matte blue.. both extremely limited.. matte blue they are pretty much out of.. stinger I could probably find one, but to be worth my effort it would cost $500 and I wouldn't be making nothing either.

I don't understand why some shafts are impossible to get. If they make them produce them and make them public.  Just doens't make sense to produce something and then not make it available.  I guess thats just  the accountant in me LOL

They aren't impossible to get...the matte blue shaft is EXACTLY the same as the retail silver version. The matte blue was just the prototype.

it is the same yes but it has the tiger sex appeal lol!

stinger is also dear and im not sure if it would be worth it in the end.......any other sugestions?

a normal japan diamana ion?

:idhitit: I know what you mean, the matte blue would be my first choice as well!

But since it's pretty much impossible to get, I would definitely get the Ion Diamana!

BTW, slightly OT, but has anyone actually tried a Diamana in a 460 Ignite?? (besides Tiger of course) I need a new driver, and I've been thinking about maybe giving that combo a go...or a R5 TP...or a (square) 905T...can't decide :D

I had a matteblue 93X in tour issue 460.. it was far to stiff for me, I didn't have a frequency machine at the time, but it was rebar... I off'd it. Because it was too stiff for me I had to go nearly full out didn't have much feel as well (too stiff again).. You know I had as many as 6-7 matteblue in all kinds of weights...It took me 3-4 weeks to get rid of them all...were the hell was everyone when I had a bunch for sale...

lol tiger was in his bad patch so no one wanted them! lol.

i am currently using a 905 t with a diamana 63 stiff and am finding it plays weak, ball flight is very high........now im not a very fast swinger ....

so the question i have is should i stick in the same shaft ...diamana 63 stiff into my new tour ignite or should i go to a heavier weight like the 73 or 83 stiff????

any sugestions would be appreciated

have you seen how high the pros hit it ?.. you would be amazed how high they hit the bigstick and how low they hit their irons... I've been trying to hit the driver higher most of my life :idhitit: ..

The pros do hit it high, some of them, but more importantly they have that flat boring trajectory. If you are hitting it so high its ballooning I would try a heavier one. The 83 works best for me in a driver.

well it goin really high and its only rollin max 10 yrds when it lands....

im not the strongest guy in the world by any means hence why i went for the 63.....which would u suggest the 73 or 83???

is the 83 very demanding and would it still have the same feel and kick as the 63

17935

If your not a strong guy then I would go with the 73. I have hit it and actually hit it farther, but 10-15 yards isnt worth missing the fairway, besides I already bomb it. :idhitit:

b*tch lol! well have to say i aint jealous cause i hit fairways 270-80 all day!

goin for the heavier shaft will probably lose me a few yards right? but it should reduce the ball flight?

17945

I hit 12/14 fairways today and averaged 306.7. :idhitit: You'll probably gain yardage by picking up some roll and it should reduce the flight.

ok lets stop measuring our man hood cause clearly im losing and i aint a good loser! lol  :idhitit:

thanks for all the info taylormade and crew....

still am tempted by the 83 tho lol!

o last question.....the 63 has a really nice kick to it will the 83 give me the same or does it perform totally different

17949

The 63 kicked pretty much the same I think. I havent hit it in a while. It should be very close. If you average around 280 you could hit it without any trouble.

270-280.. I'm guessing your swingspeed at around 105 or so.. really that's not too bad actually.. as you go lighter weight in the diamana's you get a slighter softer tip area and slightly lower kick.. they are all pretty good, just a matter of you matching it with the driver.

I have speeder553 tipped 2 inches in my R510TP... and it's the most anti-left club I've ever had...Really enjoying it.

nice! i hate left lol! i do want to lowerr my flight therefore i should go to the heavier weight but will i see much of a distance loss....taylormade guy thinks not due to the lower spin and roll....

17968

nothing lowers flight like changing driver loft.. 553 hits'em pretty high.. My R510TP is 10.5 degrees.. I just picked up a FT-3 @ 9.5..and if I dont hit that high enough I'll buy champxs' 10.5 :idhitit: I'm looking to regain my distance and keep the accuracy..hopefully the FT-3 and some unknown at this time shaft will be the ticket... I still have a matteblue 53x (test #1 probably)

53 grammer...

is that x flex or stiff flex and has it been tipped?

how did u find the flight on this baby?

if your wanting to sell drop me an email ......

17976

No selling.. I've been saving it for a special driver.. I was using it briefly in my J340..so it's a pull now, yes X flex and tipped about 1 inch...should play about 270cpm in a 45 inch driver...

thanks for the info.....any one have one???

if not i may have to go for the diamana ion or the diamana stinger

17847

You will be able to find a blue matte before you will find a Stinger. I had the blue back in March and liked it, but like the looks of the Ion that much better. All three shafts(Ion, blue matte & silver) play the same.
