Kilties, Yes or No?

No thanks, not for me. They are the epitome of all that I never liked in old school golf shoes. To my eye they look like a white version of a brogue you should be wearing with a suit to the office, with a fluffy feminine bit stuck over the laces.

I assume they were originally meant to help stop water getting in through the laces/ tongue.

I terms of comfort I will stick with my Nike or Adidas trainers with soft spikes...

Picked up a white pair of Puma shoes this season with Kilties.

My first ever pair of golf shoes back in the late 70s had kilties (a pair of Stylo Matchmakers, beige with dark brown kilties!)

Never really a fan of them, glad that particular fashion largely went away.

Still have a great set of Footjoy Classics with kilties. They definitely generate looks.

If they ever truely come back in style, I could raid my grandfather's basement. He's got at least 5 dusty old pair from the 1960s and 1970s. I'd have to change the rusty metal spikes, of course.
