Whole new bag setup

Need Suggestions
I am going to completely change almost every club in my bag. I have no access to any launch monitors or demos really, so it is all just mostly guesses. First off I am a 4-5 handicap. My swing speed with a driver is right at 100.

Driver---I currently have a Launcher Comp 10.5 with a Prolaunch stiff. I like this setup right now but would like to bring the flight up a little. I am a low ball hitter. So I was thinking of a Hibore w/ a Prolaunch in a 10.5 stiff. I don't know whether to get a 65 or 75 gram shaft. I have a fast tempo. Whatever I get I don't want a closed face since I already draw the ball. Suggestions welcomed!

Fairway woods---I currently have a 3 and 5 wood Big Bertha Titanium(2005). I don't have that great success with these. I lack any height with these. I was thinking about going to a 4/7 combo and ditching my hybrid. Don't really know what though. Maybe Cally X or old Steelheads. Need lots of help with these!

Irons---I currently am playing game improvement irons(a gift) and I hate them. The offsets are killing me. My old irons was titleist and I liked them ok. The two main ones I have been thinking about are MP-60's or X Tours. I haven't hit many Mizuno irons so the feel isn't what I'm used to. And I don't think that the bounce on the X tours will be any trouble either.

Wedges---I currently have a CG10's black pearl in 50, 54,60. I love the feel and the perfomance of these wedges but I'm not a big spinner of the ball. So that is why I am thinking of getting new wedges. My thoughts were either X tour wedges, TP Y cutters, or Vokey spin milled.

Putter is staying the same.

All these are just some of the clubs that I am thinking of. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I knew that since I can't go hit anything that ya'll could help.

Yeah I am a club ho. I will try to just only use a reg. Prov1 tomorrow and see if I can tell a difference. I already tee the ball up pretty high with my driver. I know my shaft is already a high launch shaft but with every club I hit it is pretty low. Yeah a draw biased is definetely what I don't need in any kind of wood. Thanks for the input. Any body else?

Driver: I am not sure what to tell you. The Cleveland Comp I have is really a high launch, high spin clubface. The Prolaunch Blue shaft is a very high launch shaft. I don't know if you are going to find a combo that will get the ball up any faster. The Hi-Bore might. It would be worthwhile to try it out. Personally, the Hi-Bore / Prolaunch combo felt absolutely dead to me.

Fairway Woods: I think fairway woods are a very personal thing. I like my current Cleveland Launcher FW. I also like both of Callaway's offerings. I like the 4W / 7W idea. I find 17* 4W's to be very nice for my game. They are pretty easy to hit, and you still hit them pretty long.

Irons: I love my X-tours. If you can get over the thick top line, and little clunkyness then they are the most forgiving players irons you will find. I hit mine with a good trajectory with DG S300, but sometimes I wish it was a tad higher. If you are a low ball hitter, you might think about rifle shafts. The mp60 are really solid too. They are a high trajectory iron. So they might be a really nice fit for you.

Wedges: I can't help you here. I can't find anything to kick the Cleveland 900's out of my bag. All those you list will spin the ball like crazy. Find a finish and a shape you like. Again, you might look to Rifle shafts. I love love love the spinners in my Clevelands.

Have fun!

Regarding your driver, I agree with preceding posts that your Comp 10.5/PL 65 combo is a very high trajectory combo. When I played the 10.5 Comp I originally had the stock stiff shaft and switched to a PL65S, the stock shaft actually played higher for me BUT it was much more prone to hooks than the PL so that shaft would probably not be to your liking. With your handicap I'm sure you know this but even with a high trajectory/spin head like the Comp you've got to hit it high on the sweetspot, maybe some baby powder on the clubface at the range will let you know if you're making contact too low, if so tee it higher or try the HiBore which is reputed to have a lower optimal sweetspot. If clubface contact is ruled out it seems as though you might need to get a higher lofted driver, the 3 that come to mind are the Comp and HiBore in 11.5 loft and the Nike SQ Lucky 13 but there are many more including some very good componant offerings. You mentioned a desire for new clubs, but if you entertain the notion of a driver re-shaft in general I believe that lighter shafts will aid a trajectory increase, several high trajectory versions that come to mind are the Prolaunch 55, UST Low Carb, Aldila NVS 55, Accuflex Icon Lite, MCC MFS50, Accra Tour 50, and Zcom MW54.

Regarding FW woods, the low profile offerings always seem to play significantly higher for me. See if you can demo the Adams RPM low profile, I hit a 15 degree version with the stock PL 75 shaft and it was very easy to hit high. I haven't hit them but numerous reviews suggest that the Nike SQ fairways are also very easy to hit high and straight.

Irons: I haven't played these but they're similar to your top 2 options and I've read many glowing reviews on this forum that you can find with the search option.

Bridgestone J33 CB

Srixon I506

Nike Pro Combo's

Titleist 704/735/695CB

You didn't mention an iron trajectory preference but if you want a higher trajectory strongly consider Nippon shafts.

Wedges: I think you've got the super spin versions covered but I agree with bd8802 that a softer wedge shaft like the Spinner might also help a bit with whatever head you choose.

My boss was looking for a new set of sticks over christmas. He used to be a scratch player but he doesn't play that much anymore and wanted an easier setup than he had (which by the way was Titleist 975D 8.5*, Callaway S2H2 15*, handmade Maruman blades 1!-PW, Cleveland 588 56* all with X100's.

I went with him because i've tried pretty much everything out there and I can get everything at trade price. After what seemed like hours on the range and in the launch monitor this is what he came out with.

Ping G5 10.5* Aldila NVS 65 stiff. Great club for high booming drives.

Callaway Big Bertha 4 and 7 woods both with Aldila NVS 75 stiff. The X series wasn't out then but these are still quality fairways with a nice high flight that doesn't balloon.

Mizuno MP 60 4-PW DG S300. The first set of cavity backs he's ever had but he loves them. He can still shape his shots a bit and he loves the feel.

Titleist Vokey Spin Milled 52, 56, 60 DG Wedge shaft. I'm not a big fan of this wedge setup but this is what he wanted and the Spin Milled's speak for themselves.

He had a similar problem to you with hitting it low but he didn't want to compromise by getting game improvement clubs and adding mega offset. If he has a good day he can still shoot in the low 70's which sometimes makes me wish I hadn't helped him but the promotion was worth it!

Yeah I know that it would be hard to get a higher launching setup than I have. Ive started to hit the ball higher but it just seems to go on a mid trajectory and run a good amount. I hit my buddies Hibore with a 9.5 with a V2 and hit it good. About the same trajetory as my Comp but about 10 yards longer. That is why I am considering a 10.5 Hibore.

Ive tried many different types of fairway woods, but haven't had much luck with any. I've never owned a 4 wood and I think that might help. I was just going to get my current woods re-shafted but anybody around here costs a fortune to reshaft a callaway.

The topline of the X Tours aren't that bad. I like the look of them. I not that concerned about the trajectory of my irons. I already have a mid trajectory and that is fine with me. I've heard so much good things about the X Tours and the MP60's is the reason I am considering these two.

The courses I play at are kinda hard and it is hard to get alot of spin on the ball with my wedges. I thought about just keeping my gap wedge the way it is and getting y cutters or x tours in sand and lob wedge. I hadn't really thought about getting rifle spinners in them. Might have to.

Anybody else got any suggestions?
