The first day I played Turnberry I loved it. The second wasn't quite as good. On day one, my good friend and playing partner got an ace on #4. We were a bit hung over for the second trip around. I don't know if that impacted my perception or not.

Great Lists and a good read, hard to say a true #1 on my list as I have not had the pleasure to play Augusta National, Pine Valley or The Old Course still holding out hope before I pass to play at least 2 of the 3. Here ya go in no particular order:

Gotta be Bella Colinas. That place was flawless and LOOONG! The clubhouse was so large that I got lost for like 10 minutes trying to get back out to the practice green lol. I played a ton of great courses in high school but never really payed that much attention to the experience so I don't remember many of the great venues. The unfortunate part about being young I guess... you tend to have your head up you arse a bit more until you start to get a bit older.

Eagles Nest G.C. Colorado. Hour or so West of Denver. First hole is uphill par 3. Then next 15 holes surrounded by trees, winding up and down and left and right. Last two holes run along side two lane road. Amazing course. At least it was 20+ years ago. While back I read on the interweb about them totally destroying the course by putting houses all along it. Cutting down lots of trees, etc. etc.

1) Royal County Down - Played as a single and was the only person on the course for an hour. Such an experience.
2) We-Ko-Pa
3) Diamante - Cabo
4) Granite Links Golf Club - Ridiculous views of the Boston skyline
5) Ballybunion/Waterville/Doonbeg - all amazing funs tracks each for different reasons
6) Bay Hill
7) Streamsong Red - not what I expected for florida flatlands
