Should we try to do a summer wrx outing this year?

Just throwing it out there to see if anyone would be interested? Really have no idea of what course to do it at, I'd prefer to keep it under $40 though if thats even possible.

do you guys have any course suggestions or should we just do ahwatukee? I can find out when they plan to punch the greens. The duke wouldnt be bad either, though its a bit of a drive for those living up in scottsdale or the west valley.

never played the duke so I wouldn't mind giving it a shot. I think Whirlwind would be fun but it might be stretching the budget??

The Duke and Club West is tied in to Ahwatukee golf properties, so I should be able to get us a discounted rate at Ahwatukee, Club West, or The Duke. I like the duke. Its nice and wide open with a good mix of holes. What dates work for everyone? Should we shoot for early/mid Sept?

I dont mind taking control of setting this one up if we do it at one of the courses through ahwatukee, because then we don't have to reserve the spots with a credit card and if someone bails out, I'm not stuck paying for them. Let me know what you guys think, and what your ideas are for dates/course preferences. Im not set in stone on playing duke, club west, or ahwatukee, but I'm definately on a limited budget at this time.

I can do a Sunday where ever. Any of those will do. Of course we could try South Mountain, it's usually 50 bucks on the weekend on GolfNow. Couldn't hurt to look

I say the duke is good then. and I agree that you shouldnt have to take responsibility if someone bails. Anything on the weekend will work well for me.

Called the Duke today and set us up for Sunday, Sept 12th. I made the first tee time at 8:04, and reserved 4 groups(16 players). Let me know if you guys want to go out earlier or if that works. I can make more tee times if we need to, and the cost will be the gold card rate of $27/person.

Unfortunately, I have a conflict that weekend.

If anyone is on the fence about this, I encourage you to go. Good group of guys. Also if you haven't played it, The Duke is a fun and interesting course. Even though it is routed through the housing development, it has some of the widest playing corridors in the state! Although it seems like a haul, it's only about 50 minutes from downtown.
