Which golf balls would help putting?

Does a golf ball have any influence on putting? Since there are so many different brands and types, I was wondering if a particular brand or type (soft, hard, 2 piece etc) would help with putting.

I have tried several balls for putting, ranging from 'hard' to 'soft'. I would say this is more of a personnel thing. Personally, I prefer a ball that has a softer feel. It feels as if the ball would bounces off the surface of the putter with minimum effort.

 

Putter also plays a part in this. Some putter's material is of softer nature (e.g. carbon steel), therefore inducing a softer feel.

 

My advice is to try different balls with the same putter to be consistent in your feel.

I'd stick with the ball that gives you the best performance off the tee and around the greens and meets you needs in those areas first.

 

I always prefer a golf ball to "look" like it's rolling perfectly, that's more dependent on stroke and putter dynamcs versus how a golf ball is built.

you should try the Nike One Platinum. it has a firm yet soft feel off the putter face and distance control is really good!!

i tend to putt really well with the bridgestone B-330. i was on the bridgestone website and i watched a video of fred couples and he says he is putting better with it.
